Our backs struggle to pick up a yard.  When we run the ball on the first two downs its 3rd and 7 or 8 every series.  Almost impossible to watch.

our running backs.... aren't really; at least, not much. pathetic.

Quote:Um its pretty simple. Yeldon isn't that good. Denard has been injuried upto this point, and our O-line sucks. And you seriously didn't expect Gerhart to get one right? I don't get the hype with our RB, half of Yeldons runs are for loss or no gain, Shoelace at least goes forward, but neither of them can make it happen with our line.

We don't have great RB's anymore in J-ville who can make up for average/poor lines. That era is gone with MJD in 2011.
As I said and certainly others echoed back long before the season even started, How far the jags go depends on one thing and it matters not how well Bortles does. The Jags will only go as far as this revamped OL takes them. Since then, that has proven out to be true........BUT.............Bortles is not helping matters by his play either. As for the RB's collectively, on a scale of 1 to 10........I'd give them a minus 2 simply because there is ZERO excuse for not one of them to have a TD run..........period. As an example today, the Jags are first and goal on the 4 and Toby couldn't punch it thru. NO EXCUSE for that EXCEPT it also reveals just how bad our run blocking truly is. Never the less, as big and strong as Toby is, there was no excuse for him to not put it in the end zone. Instead, they had to pass in order to get the 6 points. That's pathetic!
well our whole plan for the season was to run up the strong right side but then Linder got hurt and the entire line is a liability outside of parnell in the run game.  I am surprised how well they pass block though.

Quote:Have a collective 0 TDs all season. How is that even possible? I mean, the Bills' backup QB (Manuel) has more rushing TDs than the Jags entire offense.

All the hype in PreSeason and they wind up being a 3.0 avg RB core.. .to a bit less.. the whole lot of them...

I dunno , battling injuries... Corey Grant messed up on his first run because had he taken the ball when Bortles thought that Corey was going to he couldve made it thru that big hole for lots of yards but it was a miscue maybe due to lack of practice time..

now that hes injured i guess it doesnt matter..

Toby didnt look horible in this game but he wasnt spectucular either...

Robinson looked okay but nothing to brag about...

I guess if I was the OC it would be Robinson starting & I would simply keep in the game with Toby coming in for breathers or short yardage runs or to act like a FB for Robinson.

Hopefully TJ Yeldon is back after the bye week....

I am still wondering why GM Dave Caldwell didnt trade for a good LT...
Where can you find a good LT to trade for lol. Some people say some things that make me scratch my head.
