It was blatantly obvious in my opinion. He just failed to progress into a decent safety, let alone the punisher we were all looking for.

I have more issues with Cyprien's decision to dive helmet-first into the face of Brian Hoyer as Hoyer was sliding than I do with his coverage today, and considering how many issues I had with his coverage today, that's saying something. I still think that Cyprien can be salvaged by a decent coaching staff that schemes for him to play the box--not to be in single-high coverage. But that helmet-to-helmet on Hoyer, man, how do you even do that?!

Let's not forget Cyp was taken #33. That is essentially a 1st round pick these days.

He was supposed to be our Kam Chancellor...he isn't even Dawan Landry.

 

Having Josh Evans at Free Safety is more of a liability as well as the really weak CBs but part of it is the scheme & coaching on Defense (which is a huge problem since that is supposed to be HC Gus Bradley's expertise and three years later it still stinks every year).

Never thought about this, definitely can't disagree with it though! 

Yeah I want to like the guy, but he just never makes plays ever.
