Look how many less receptions they have than the other tandems, how long has it been since the Jags have had bug play WRs like the Allens?
How is the steelers duo right? Bryant hasn't even played this year.

Why did this make me laugh? I guess they do "bug" the opposing teams.

Quote:Are you kidding me? Bortles is helping their career not hindering it and so what he's not perfect but he's putting them in a position to succeed.

At this point in Bortles career he is still developing as a quarterback. He is still inaccurate and makes some occasional bad reads, and that can happen with young inexperienced quarterback that are still learning their trade. Don't get me wrong he is doing well for a second year quarterback and he has put in some very promising performances, but he is still not the finished product. And like I said in my original post, Hurns and Robinson are producing with Bortles at this stage in his development. That has still resulted in 49 receptions, 832 yards, and 7 TDs through five games. That is really good production. So of course he is not hindering them, but that wasn't my point. What I was saying is that if they can produce at this level with an inaccurate Blake Bortles, imagine what these guys can do when Bortles is further along in his development and has become significantly more accurate (eg. mid-60 PCT) and more decisive in some of his reads. When Bortles reaches that level it may boost Hurns' and Robinson's production because they will be getting more consistent and a higher level of play from their quarterback. That is not to say that Bortles isn't doing well, rather I am simply highlighting that when Bortles hits his ceiling, he is going to make his receivers a lot of money because they are going to be very productive, and arguably/potentially, more productive than they are right now. Which makes this offense a very exciting prospect going forwards.
Allen Hurns has one of the lowest drop rates in the NFL right now. Huge improvement over last year.

He wants it. Now if only he wasn't in the minority, we'd have a winning record
Can the board just add "Blackmon" to the 'bad word removed' list? Seriously, why is he even brought up anymore?

Yeah it's not. Steelers top duo is

Brown and Heyward Bey: 54 rec 712 yds 4tds...

Because some people here refuse to live with the reality that Blackmon has no serious interest in football now, nor did he ever, and the only reason he's still on the roster is so that the Jaguars can go after his signing bonus.

Bryant has a sick yards per catch stat.

I hear you. One of the digs on Blake is that the WRs often have to track the deep ball down in order to leap and make the incredible catch to get it. They're doing a great job at making these catches, but it's not allowing them to catch the ball in stride in order to keep going for YAC and TDs.

That should work itself out with time.
