Jeffery

Marvin Jones

To list a few
Quote:Miller is a possibility actually. Denver may be entering rebuild mode with Manning looking more and more done by the day. I could see them unload their big contracts and get their cap under control and rebuild if Manning moves on after the season unless they have a lot of confidence in Osweiler
I just don't see any circumstance where Miller leaves Denver but if he does and I'm Jacksonville, I'm making him the highest paid DE in the NFL.

Like you said I don't see Miller leaving Denver, whether it's from an extension or most likely getting tagged. But if he does get let go, I agree that is someone the Jags should pay top dollar for
Does Paul need to be replaced? My God he was playing incredible before he sprained an ankle. I would love Berry but I think with the way KC season is going they will bring him back just as a feel good and plus KC stuck by Berry while he was unwell..Id like to believe he will show them some gratitude and even take a paycut to stay with them

A lot of people thought Berry was going to be let go after his contract before he had cancer because they thought the Chiefs wouldn't make him the league's highest paid safety.

The Chiefs will HAVE to this year if they want to keep him, and that's where the problem lies. I think Eric Berry is a high character guy and probably will give them a discount, but you never know.
I have no doubt that Eric Berry could handle the centerfield role as a FS. I'd gladly take him on the Jags and he'd instantly be the best safety we have ever had.
Josh Norman CB for the Panthers could be in for a big payday. Arguably the best CB in the league this year
I'd take a long look at Vinny Curry from the Eagles.

9 sacks last year, LEO size, seems to be Chipped this year.
Just saw that Broncos' LB Brandon Marshall is a RFA this offseason. I would love to see the Jaguars try and bring him back to add to our LB group. Denver is cap-strapped and Marshall may finally looking for a pay day. He is definitely the player that I wish hadn't got away.

Imagine if we got him and he didn't perform very good. Oh man.
A lot of people are calling this the best free agent crop in NFL history, and the Jaguars are walking into it with the biggest cap space by a country mile.

This season has been a letdown, but this offseason is going to be fun to watch.

I'd imagine he'd be very average if he came back to Jacksonville. He has Miller, Ware, and Trevathan. In general, that defense is loaded. Marshall looks great as a roleplayer, but I wouldn't expect him to come in and be a star player.

I guess I'm just worried about free agent signings though. They hardly ever work out for us.

I wouldn't ask him to come here and be a star, but I would definitely feel better about our LBers with a group of Poz, Telvin, Marshall, Skuta, a draft pick, and periodically Fowler.

Since he's an RFA, the jags would have to make a hefty offer... and give up a draft pick too?

Yeah, that totally slipped my mind. Never mind.

I don't think we'll have the most when FA actually opens. I know the Raiders have a ton of contracts dropping off the books after this year.

With the way Dave structured contracts, the likely releases of Beadles and Clemons should give us a nice bump in cap space. Releasing Hood has already added $4 million in space the next two seasons.

Hood was placed on IR

He was released off of IR a couple days ago and signed with Chicago today.

Nah, he was cut this week and just signed with the Bears.
