Your definition of competitive is way different than mine
Close is good for horseshoes and hand grenades. Never knew the NFL was about coming close in losses. That's gotta be about the lowest of fans expectations ever just wishing for that crap. If you wanted that in year 1 and 2 knowing they sabotaged and schemed a way to buy themselves some employment years with excuses ok, but this year isn't about that buddy. At this point someone should call the Better Business Bureau on this scam. If this same coaching staff comes back next year then that's just another year of losing.

I remember this offseason after free agency and the draft all the pumpers were on cloud 9 with the optimism, I stayed low and just laughed knowing what the season would bring. Now those same pumpers are forced to defend the actions of this crap with excuses and other defense mechanisms because of pride. The offseason is when these excuse makers run wild on here and don't have to be held to no accountability about what they spit because there's no games being played to make them eat what they say about the awful Jags.
Quote:We've been in it to the end in every game this year aside from the NE game.. why aren't you guys happy? Improvement is there guys come on let's not be so upset the season isn't over yet we have an offense finally clicking we just gotta put it all together, I feel like we've seen nothing yet just wait till JT and Marks are playing full game snaps this teams gonna be pretty good weather it's toward the end of this season or next year. I'm excited, you should be too.

That "Potential" we've been talking about for years, imo has just turned into a lot of "promise". Just let this resinate a little bit, Hurns is 24, AR-15 is 22! and Blake is only 23, if these guys keep improving we have a lot of weapons for YEARS and YEARS to come.
I suppose it depends very much on how you define 'in it'. If by being 'in it' you mean the final separating scores does not exceed 7 points then I understand what you mean. However, I think most posters here understand being 'in it' to mean that the outcome of a game is not already clearly out of our control. That is what was so infuriating about the back to back losses to teams whom the Jaguars should have defeated. It was apparent that the outcome was out of our control before the game was over.
Quote:We shouldn't be losing to one of the worst teams in the league. After 3 years that should be gone. But hey....sprinkles for everyone! Smile
Psst...

Tampa last year had no Doug Martin and bad QB play.

This year, their D has been OK, QB play shaky, but Dougie has shown up.

I don't think because they were the worst team last year, that they are the worst team this year.

But hey, doom and gloom for everyone.

I wasn't one that was OK with losing as long as we were competitive... I want to win. Every game. If we had lost to Tampa without a fight I would be worried maybe even down right pissed.

We lost. Because of stupid stuff.

Crap happens.

On to the tinhorns.
This ice cream joke is pretty damn lame

Id want to be competitive with actual good teams not ones with backup qb Matt Hasselbeck and a rookie qb with a ton of turnovers so far

That damn defense sure wasn't competitve. Was almost like the Jags only had 5 guys on defense.. Seemed that way anyway..

Giving those yards on 3rd and 15 was the biggest joke ever

Is this a serious question?  Some of the people on this board don't know why the players play the game...

Do we really have to post this video again?

When you bring in a defensive guru and his predecessor's defense is light years better than yours in less time with less talent, it becomes evident that this Mr. Bradley guy had nothing to do with the success of Seattle's defense.
The "idc if we lose as long as we're competitive" was for the 2013 season.  Nobody was saying that losing indefinitely, even if we're close, is OK in year 3 of the rebuild.

We cant continue to lose competitive games forever.
