Quote:I guess the median point would be $110k since the avg income in Jacksonville is $55k.  From there your tax benefit would increase incrementally by the $$ you are below the average or decrease incrementally pending on how much you are above the average income.

True.

Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and daycare are all tax deductible if both parents are working, so there is some wiggle room for sure
Quote:What the hell happened to small government?!?!

I'm hearing a [BAD WORD REMOVED] load of federal spending and overreach. A trillion dollars on infrastructure didn't we just do that with obama and bush that's code for the feds want to waste more money!

Christ this guy wants to spend as much as the damn Democrats.

Don't worry.  It's not real money they'll be spending.
Quote:Again, asking for a deduction, not a handout.

Tomato Tomahto.
Quote:Nice of the democrats to stand and acknowledge those with children murdered by illegals.
They don't care about America or Americans. They have proven that time and time again.

And Donald will be dead when the bill comes due.

Technically this is true. LOL. Our problems in this country are not State and Local. It's Federal. It all starts with those crooked [BAD WORD REMOVED].

Quote:Calm down buddy. The run up to the speech was the left melting down over the fact that he wants to cut the state departments budget. He has already said that he is going to leave hundreds, if not thousands of government Jobs unfilled. Every Cabinet Secretary that he has appointed has the mandate to cut the departments down to size. He has already said that he is cutting EPA funding. He has already said that we could be looking at a 50-75% reduction in the regulatory state.

This is going to be a major win for the libertarian wing of the party.

As for paid family leave... I don't like it. That being said, we need 65 million votes in 2020. It is what it is.

As for Medicaid Flexibility... We need 30ish governors to make sure that the left doesn't steal the elections. we need 65 million votes in 2020. It is what it is.

As for taxes, I hate the idea of a Border Adjustment tax (tariff just sounds all protectionisty doesn't it?) but I think that within the context of broader foreign policy and the example of Harley Davidson, that the premise isn't going to be that a lot of countries will actually be subject to it. It will provide natural incentive for countries to enter into Bilateral Free Trade agreements to make sure that the conditions of trade between countries is reciprocal. As he pointed out, if you have no t<del>ariffs </del>Border Adjustment tax on Imports but our exports are subject to massive Tariff Walls then that creates a statutory Trade deficit, as he pointed out nearly 800 billion dollars.

Personally, just lower the corporate tax rate and that will take care of itself but 65 million votes in 2020. It is what it is.

There wasn't much libertarian in that speech last night. I'm good with a lot of stuff that I'm told trump wants to do but when I listened to him last night I heard spend spend spend and then were going to reduce taxes with zero specifics on who or how.

I'm 100% for tax cuts across the board but we can't go spend a trillion on this or that unless we're just going to run up the deficit Obama style.

Milk was $5.77 a gallon at Walmart last night. Tell me again how inflation isn't already here?

Bacon was over $9.00 a pound as well. Good thing we don't need food to survive or anything.

Waaait a second.    I don't know what kind of Milk you are buying at Walmart, but they do not charge $5.77 a gallon.   It's less than $3.    At least, that's what it is in Jacksonville.   Maybe you live in New York City?   What Walmart sells milk for $5.77 per gallon?

And for God's sake, you don't need bacon.   That stuff will kill you.

What Walmart were you shopping at??
As said, milk is right around $3 per gallon, and bacon is about $3 per pound as well.  Of course, I don't grocery shop at Walmart...I try to stay away from that place.

Not true. Nitrate free / uncured bacon is a good alternative to the highly processed bacon that's going for $9.99. Anything can kill you if not done in moderation. The highly processed carbohydrates / processed sugars is what's killing us.

And you shut your dirty mouth about bacon you heretic.  :pirate:
Some of you have expensive taste. 9 bucks for a bound of bacon and 6 bucks for a gallon of Milk???

Yikes.

And I didn't buy it, got a gallon of Publix milk this morning for $3.77, but the name brand there was almost $5 ($4.79, I think).

Where is bacon $3 a pound? Even at Costco it's running over $4.
It varies.
