I can't believe we lost to the Bucs.

It stings still... Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

Probably because that was actually January 2012 and the coach was Mel Tucker.
Quote:This will definitely be a call from the league office.
why? You dont always know if a player has a concussion, he could have got it and walked off the field and nobody knew he was hurt
Quote:Just referring to January 1st, 2012. The meaningless game we won to give the clots Luck. That was JDR's middle finger to the franchise.

You do realize JDR was no longer the coach at that point right?

His ghost was still in the building affecting things.

Meh, Luck isn't that great. We could have taken Luke Kuechly or Dontari Poe and I'd have been as happy now as if we ended up with Luck. Sadly Gene Smith took Blackmon who ended up being a stoner...
That whole 2nd half of the year was a setup by JDR and you're fooling yourselves I'd you don't see it

JDR wasn't the coach stalker.
Id take Del Rio over Gus anyday

lol Yea.... I mean he only took a team who won 1 game back to the playoffs 3 straight years.
With the exception of Doug Marrone and Jerry Sullivan, none of our coaching staff was highly regarded before joining the Jaguars. Most of our coaches were people kept on from the previous coaching staff or friends of Gus Bradley from his previous coaching gigs. If you have a young team, you don't give them second rate coaches. This falls on Gus Bradley picking his friends instead of picking more qualified candidates and it also falls on Dave Caldwell for approving the coaches. Both Caldwell and Bradley knew they were going to have a very young team after blowing up the Gene Smith roster. Their first priority should have been picking the most qualified coaches that would help our young players get better.

Look at our roster and try to find players who have noticeably improved since they've been drafted. Outside of the Allens and Blake Bortles(who I believe looks a ton better because he worked with Tom House in the off season) I'm scratching my head trying to think of others. Maybe Telvin Smith, but I think he was talented coming to the Jaguars and has plateaued since he came here. Even worse are players who have regressed since they've been drafted or free agents who have come to the Jaguars and played worse for us than before they came here.

I hate to see good draft picks ruined by terrible coaching. Bring in a veteran head coach and veteran position coaches and I think you'll finally see improvement in both individual perfomances and the team as a whole.
