Hargreaves or Ramsey.

Ramsey/ Nkemdiche

A WR with a good left hook

Ramsey

Ramsey all the way.

Ramsey or Nkemdiche. Drafting a FS is a must for this team but bulking up the defensive line is also a good tactic. I would rather sign a FS and draft a LB or DE/DT.

The best available playmaker.

Changing to best available MLB after today lol

After today, I starting thinking about Joey Bosa and what he has to offer. Some draftniks are saying he is another J.J. Watt or at least a dominating DE and God knows the Jags sure could use more pass rush.
Right now, I am thinking the Jags draft in the Top 5.
I like the idea of Jalen Ramsey, either as that Centerfield Safety or that No. 1 shutdown CB.
I have studied Robert Nkemdiche and while he is very disruptive, there is nothing in his game that suggests that he will gain lots of sacks. Without the threat of sacks, why would anyone draft a DT in the Top 5?
Vernon Hargreaves is awesome and certainly qualifies as a true shut down CB like Revis Island.
I still like Jaylon Smith of Notre Dame and Myles Jack of UCLA. Both could play the MLB position and take this defense to another level.
But when it is all said and done, if the Jags can snag Joey Bosa and team him with Dante Fowler, then perhaps that duo would truly take the Jags to a Championship level on defense.
There are safeties like Tony Connor of Mississippi and Darian Thompson of Boise State that can be had in Rds 2 or 3.
Heck just getting James Sample back where you know the tackle will be made would do wonders for this defense.
I say, let's go for Joey Bosa of Ohio State.

Offensive line. And it should continue to be offensive line until the unit is eventually fixed. It has been broken for 15 years now. Fix the line, fix the offense.

As of today I would definitely think the pick would be on the defensive side of the ball
- Pass rushing DE
- Elite LB
- Starting CB
- Ball hawk FS
All of the above are needs IMO
Which of the four would be the easiest to address in FA? I would guess CB

DC should be all over Bosa if he's on the board

I would also draft another DE because you can never have too many of them and Dante Fowler Jr. will return hopefully 100%.
But, I would sign a good LB through F/A.

Draft playmakers.

Bosa would definitely be interesting. A D-Line of Fowler-Odrik-Marks-Bosa would be nasty.

Well its looking like we will be picking #1 and with qb likely not an option since bortles looks like he has it, I really think WR is the biggest need.
I feel like I say this every year and probably will keep saying it with so many holes, but a trade down would be best, unless some wide receivers absolutely wows.

I know we are there now, but I still don't think we are going to wind up with the needed pick to get Bosa. He would obviously be far and away the best pick if he's on the board though.
Dave drafting an olineman with a 1st rounder would be a fireable offense.
Nkemdiche is good but his skill set is kind of redundant to what we already have on the dline for a top pick. Same with Buckner really, but if we're picking in the 10-12 range he's good enough I'd still be happy.
Hargreaves is good (also a bit overrated), but I really feel like House, Colvin, McCray, and Gratz is a DB group you can win with.
That leaves my top tier that blends need and elite talent of Jalen Ramsey, Jaylon Smith, and Myles Jack. I would be thrilled with any of them.
I am also leaving the door open for a WR to blow up the combine and become very intriguing also, but right now I don't see a wideout that challenges Jalen/Jaylon/Jack..
