Both players had pretty good games this past weekend and they both play key Defensive positions. Myself, I'm a sucker for a good pass rusher and Lawson had himself a pretty good game vs. Ronnie Stanley last Saturday. And I've been intrigued by Striker for the past few years now. While he is a niche fit, I think he would do very well in the LEO role in this Defense.
Which do you think has the most value?
I've wanted Striker in teal ever since the Alabama game two years ago.

Amen. That guy had himself a game that night!
I like Lawson. I honestly would be okay if the team went defensive line/rush backer the first two rounds. Need an infusion of youth, speed and talent on the front 7.
Lawson is legit. He caught my eye two years ago when he was just a rotational guy. He is way better than Branch or Beasley, he's a complete player. Unfortunately, we just drafted Fowler, and I seriously doubt Dave spends another high first round pick on a DE
I like Shaq Lawson, but I have my doubts that he is a Rd 1 pick and certainly not a Top 10 pick. He should be considered in Rd 2.
Myself, I like Jonathan Bullard over Shaq Lawson. Both are about the same size, but Bullard seems to make more things happen.
If you want Striker he's going to go in the 2nd round.

Well considering Fowler is coming off injury a high pick used on a DE may be something he considers.
Pass rush is still a concern and one player will not totally solve the problem. The Jags need multiple players who can put pressure on the QB over the course of any given game.

Why not? You scheme ways to get them on the field at the same time. Fowler moved all over the place at Florida.

I'm not so sure about that. Striker to me just seems like he has Defensive End skills exclusively and at 6' 0, 220 he's really undersized for that spot. Not to say that he can't be effective, but I think that is going to keep him as a "Third or later" draft pick.
A curious guy to me is the local kid Marquis Haynes. He is listed as a sophomore but he is actually 22 years old so I assume he could go pro this year. He is only 225 lbs but he shown he can get to the QB and is FAST. Could be a decent mid-round project if he came out.

Yeah sorry I think your right. I had him pegged down as a Shaq Thompson type,is Striker mainly used as a pass rusher? Probably less of an athlete than Shaq was.

He does drop into coverage / the flats on occasion, but as I see it his real value is in rushing the passer. He's probably on par or maybe even a little better than Lawson from what I've seen, it's just that Lawson has the edge on him in size in a big way.

I meant compared to Shaq Thompson as an athlete.

Ah!
Too many Shaqs for me to keep track of!
