Quote:We also loved him at Guard, where he was phenomenal.

Yes he was. Brandon Linder would still be a guard if the Browns could not afford to match our tag offer.
Quote:You seem to be alone. Most board members love Brandon Linder at center.
Why?  What's their rationale?  Did he make our rushing offense better?  I don't think so.  Was he considered Pro Bowl potential at the position?  Nope.  Could he be?  Maybe.  Was he headed in that direction at RG?  Probably.  Put him back where you drafted him and see what happens to the running game.  I don't think I'm alone in this assessment so perhaps you shouldn't speak for most "board members." You need to temper your feelings of "love" for Linder at Center.

I'd love for us to get a center who would allow us to move Linder back to RG, or an RG that would play RG well enough to keep Linder at C.

We need better OL.  Mangold, even for a short time, would make us better.

Linder was moved because we had a bigger hole at C than at RG.  Not because he "belongs" at C over RG.
One major concern about signing older players is the chance for a prolonged injury is noticeably greater.  Nick Mangold was a durable player, relatively speaking, until 2016.

Also it depends in Linder wants to be back at guard as well.

You don't take a guy who has done everything asked to. And move him around like domino's.

Why not?

Team first.

That's what your front office savior keeps preaching, right?
Quote:I repeatedly insisted there is no reason to move Linder even once. Keep him at center as long as he is a Jaguar. You are the one who talked about moving him for the purpose of signing a 33-year old center.
I most certainly did not...I said either leave him at center or put him back at guard...one or the other not move him out of center for a 33 year old guard and then move him back after we are done with the old dude...

Im still wondering why Bowanko isn't pushing for the starting C gig, injuries? I don't like the Linder to C move.
I say sign Nick Mangold now!

You don't like that our C is one of the top 10 in the league and received and All Pro vote?
