Someone must've forgotten to flush if that's the case.
In all seriousness, this team has constantly shown that the "next man up" mentality does not apply to this organization. Should get interesting. Curious when the NFL finally expands the 53 roster limit.

Lol FBT always the company line man.. this team, just like I thought when we beat miami.. i said to a friend nope i will not be fooled, im going to wait until they prove they have turned any corners before i get excited.. sure enough.. joke of a franchise
Should have kept him out of the Pats game. Always going to lose that and looks like it's made the injury worse.

Company man?  How so?  Because I'm stating a simple fact that as much as injuries suck, it really is about the next guy stepping up?  Yeah, that's really towing the company line right there.  I must be getting paid for takes like that.

It's possible the injury was what it was, and he wanted to give it a go.  There was never any diagnosis shared about the injury prior to the Pats game other than it was a shoulder.
He was listed as questionable (I believe) before the game. Why put him in if he isn't 100%? Everyone prior to the game was expecting him to be inactive and he struggled out there.

Next CBA at the earliest. The NFLPA would never approve adding more spots to the roster without a corresponding bump in the salary cap.
Quote:In this case. The point still stands. What happens when Parnell suffers a 6 week injury? Would rather have that spot for him in lieu of a fourth receiver that is a rookie.

IMO
You were talking about Linder specifically in the thread about.....Brandon Linder's injury.   When another OL is injured and placed on IR you can quote yourself again, just check to make sure it isn't a long term injury.

It's okay to be wrong sometimes.
Quote:I'm just hoping this doesn't "buy" Gus and Dave another year.

Khan: Well Gus, you've done a truly horrible job with this team. I mean, just awful. Up until the afternoon of Monday October 5th, you were done in this town. [pauses] But then, you were forced to place a starting guard on the IR because your designated to return had already been taken up by a 5th round rookie WR who can't catch. This one incident has clearly made your job impossible. This has bought you some time.

Gus: [with big smile on his face, eyes twinkling, saying nothing]

Khan: You may leave my office now.

Gus: Am I fi...

Khan: No! Did you not hear what I just said?

After the surgery: The Recovery

After having either of the procedures, the patient is in a sling for about four weeks, then needs physical therapy. For the more minor procedure, you'll need roughly two months of therapy, but for the full repair therapy takes about four months.

WOW

Quote:Hmmm how smart was it for him to play last week then? A case of being cleared to play too soon? Makes you think...

Didn't Roy Miller play through it a year or two ago

Guessing he was trying to see if he could go ... He wasn't great last week so they probably made the call don't do more damage get it repaired be fully healthy for training camp next year
If there's one thing I'm confident in this year, it's the offensive line and its depth. Even the Joke has been serviceable at times.

If they sidelined every player that wasn't at 100%, they couldn't field a team.

Miller did indeed play with a bum shoulder, but he wasn't nearly as effective because he was playing one-armed.  Odds are the labrum was already the known issue, and it was a matter of pain tolerance.  Anyone watching that game could see he was struggling against New England.  The guy got nailed for 2 holding calls because he was trying to do his job with one good arm.

It sucks that Linder is out, but there's not a whole lot that can be done about it now, and there's no way this can be blamed on a coach despite the fact that some here are trying to do exactly that.  It's time for the young guys they drafted to step up and show their value.  Odds are at least one of them was going to slide into a starting position at some point this year to replace Beadles.  Their time table just got accelerated.
Really bummed. I hope he recovers and comes back stronger. Hopefully Cann will step up and be a beast for us. Thankfully our Oline has been far better this year.

This thread is sick. What I am seeing here is people want their own team's players to get hurt (tell me you are not serious) just to get the coach fired. If you truly believe that, YOU ARE NOT A JAGUARS FAN.

Quote:Green Bay had just about as many injuries as anyone else EVERY YEAR. And yet they continue to operate with no issue

Hall of fame QB's are magical that way.
Geez, might as well IR Linder.
