As bad as Gabbert is, Kaepernick has arguably been worse. Teams have figured him out, and he's no longer a threat. Is it time to move on to a more conventional QB like Gabbert for the 49ers? if the Jags had to face Kaepernick twice a year, we'd probably be in the running for the division crown.

If Kaepernick keeps looking horrible the next few weeks, you'll see BG in there at some point.
He may not get starts (although he may). But, you'll likely see Kaepernick benched in the middle of a game for BG.

Normally, I'd agree with you, but this is Blaine Gabbert we're talking about.
Kaepernick's performance against AZ was one of the worst performances I've ever seen by an NFL QB.
...and I've seen both Gabbert AND Henne play.
