Here we are again. 4 games in, and our offense is still finishing in the bottom for points scored. Why? Coincidentally, the only other team that is worse, may soon be starting Gabbert as their QB. Did this team not invest enough into their offense with the draft and free agency, or is it mainly coaching and play calling?
I don't understand it myself. We're getting yards, moving the ball. Heck we had over 400 yards today and just under 400 against Miami. I just don't understand it. Is JT really that big of a factor for our red zone?
Here's why, cause we suck
It felt like we were really cooking first half, Blake was slinging, balls were caught. Hurns, Yeldon...... Just went caput in the second half.
Its simple guys. Look at that red-zone series we had after the long pass to ARob. We failed three times and had to kick a field goal. You have to keep drives going and get around the 35 yard line consistently. The whole point of this game is to score points, and the Jags don't know how to. We literally don't know how to football.
We would've won the game if we scored there. It'd be 17-13.

It didn't invest in better talent.

Olson runs out of plays in the RZ.

Thats a common theme. We dont make halftime adjustments and the other team does.
No idea. The yardage to points scored ratio (or whatever you wanna call it) just doesn't add up. Surely there is a coach out there who can get some improvement here. Way too many points left on the field. It's been that way for a long time; this year though, they're moving that ball a bit better.
Because our OC isn't a good one.
At absolute best he's around average to slightly below average.
Gus has hired awful coordinators in his time here.
It was my problem with him back after he started here and it's still a problem now.
Babich, Olson, Fisch, they are all poor choices as coordinators.
I wasn't initially happy with taking DFJ as our first pick this year, but I eventually understood what a difference he could make on defense. But, my first desire was to get someone who could immediately make a difference in this inept offense. Julius Thomas is an addition, but he is not the messiah. 4 weeks in, this team appears to be getting the same results on offense as last year. Thank God we hired the league's worst offensive coordinator from 2014.

The NFL doesn't require a good defense anymore. The game is about scoring points, and anything that detracts from that is a waste.
Because we're YOUNG AS [BLEEP] and they are still learning how to finish drives. 80% of this board is crazy I swear.

No, you are just blind
Why did we get Olson when the Raiders were ranked 31st on offense? I understand he helps young QB's out, but this scheme looks hard to run. Bortles is having to throw lengthy passes into a small window, and there aren't any quick passes or drags for him. There should always be a security blanket option for him if things don't look good, but the best we can do is have Yeldon on a check-down route?

The Raiders, Titans, and Vikings are young, but yet they move down the field consistently.

Julius Thomas is supposed to be that security blanket.

Oh, I forgot about him. Really sucks that he hasn't been out there.
I know..it's Gus Bradley. He's not a coach. Please fire him because we will continue to suck with him leading us on Sundays
Olson sucks, he is a bad coordinator. His play calling is predictable and we have so much talent not being used properly. The whole training staff must be replaced, why is our team so injured? Defense is coming together slowly, I think it is 100 percent Olson's fault. He might cost Gus his job soon.
