I hate to say so, but... I told you guys that we would probably not win this game. We have too many injuries to important players and as a result too many scrubs on the field. We saw too, Too, TOO many stupid penalties that caused what might have actually turned out to be a winnable game and put it on the back of a rookie kicker who obviously isn't ready to deal with the pressure. I observed play, after play of trying to run Yeldon up the middle when over and over again it wasn't working; that was bad play calling! I saw Bortles going for unnecessary 'kill shots' way down field when all we needed was 1st downs! Yes, our offense did make some great plays; Robinson and Hurns had a pretty good day when Bortles wasn't over throwing them by a mile.

 

...but those penalties. As commonly happens with bad teams, we found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We couldn't have done more to help the dolts win that game if we tried without just out right tanking.

Obviously Meyers is a goat here, but my lord the offense was dreadful after the 2nd quarter. Zero points in the 2nd half and overtime, didn't cross the Colts 30 yard line.

 

Defense did their job, IMO.

they did their job if you define their job as committing a large number of penalties and thereby keeping the dolts in the game...

Well... we saw some good things out there today. Our guys will use this as a learning tool and work hard to correct the things they did wrong. .
