By fantasy team, I mean that if you had to assemble a team of legends that comprised the best of the best that the NFL had to offer, from any and all eras, on a modern day 53 man roster, who would it be?

Here would be my starting lineup:

Offense:

QB: Aaron Rodgers

HB/RB: Walter Payton

FB: Jim Brown

WR's: Jerry Rice, Cris Carter

TE: Rob Gronkowski

RT: Tony Boselli

RG: Larry Allen

C: Mark Stepnoski

LG: Russ Grimm

LT: Anthony Munoz

Defense:

RE: Bruce Smith

DT: Joe Greene

DT: Alan Page

LE: Reggie White

MLB: Ray Lewis

ROLB: Lawrence Taylor

LOLB: Kevin Greene

CB's: Darrell Revis, Deion Sanders

FS: Ronnie Lott

SS: Darren Woodson

Special Teams:

Kicker: Dan Bailey

Punter: Ray Guy

I believe that just with this starting lineup alone, this team would be almost impossible to defeat; with hall of fame offensive linemen protecting and giving Aaron Rodgers all day to sit in the pocket and throw to arguably the best hands in NFL history in Cris Carter, and the GOAT in Jerry Rice. Walter Payton and Jim Brown would both have huge holes to run through, and they would be an extremely tough duo to bring down, and Gronk is just a beast to himself. I believe that this offense would be so dominant in gaining yards and points, that it would be like playing Tecmo Bowl, or Madden on rookie difficulty.

This defense would shut down any offense that it went up against, and would be a real headache for OC's and QB's alike. When all else fails, you've got the most accurate kicker in Dan Bailey, and one of the strongest legs in Ray Guy.

I'm interested in seeing what your fantasy rosters/lineups will be, and if you have any critique's about my selections. I'll post my full roster when I get the chance.

Somewhere, in a parallel universe, this team exists, and even more so, exists for the Jags.
My team consists of the more modern athlete.  I think their athleticism would dwarf the talent of the names of some of the all-time greats.
