They're a good team because they have found a way to win without their top wideout, with marginal RBs, and now without their QB of D Luke.
I'm not saying Panthers are on the same level as Pats, Pack...but they are closer to them, than they are to us.
barely?
11 point victory over us.
7 points over tinhorns
5 against a division rival...
from what I saw... they had most of those games in their hands throughout
That's a fair assessment. I just don't happen to agree with it. I don't think they're a good team. I believe they're closer to the middle-bottom tier teams than they are the top tier.
Agree to disagree.
Our offense has to find a way to score more than 20 points. I don't know how long that's been our threshold, but if it sticks we lose this game. If we can somehow get 2 TDs in the 1st half we might be competitive.
I never root for injury, but what Vic always said, "The QB must go down and go down hard." We absolutely must sack Luck. Our secondary is for [BAD WORD REMOVED] right now. Hurrying him won't be enough, playing tight on his receivers won't be enough, forcing him out of the pocket won't be enough. He must go down, hard.
We need to neutralize Gore. If Frank Gore can slice through us for 5 yds at a time, this game will be a blood bath for us. At the same time, if Yeldon isn't getting it done, we need to go heavy on Toby. Yeldon can find the holes and quickly slip the tackles, it's great to see when it works, but we need a wrecking ball against their line in the first half. Hit 'em in the mouth enough to loosen their coverage on A-rob and Hurns.
(Greene needs to step it up too. Rashad Greene needs to look better than Ace 2.0 this week. He needs to become a threat.) <-- nevermind
If we do the things we need to do, the things we've been promised this team can do:
Jags 28, Colts 21
If we are the same old Jags, dropping catchable passes, playing bendable defense, INTs and sacks in the 2nd half, you know the drill:
Colts 35+, Jags 17
@dobie you do realize the Greene is injured right?

Dangit, is he on IR? I didn't see him on the injury report, so I thought he was doing better.

IR design. To return
Clots 34 - Jags 17.
Hasselbeck plays and the jags secondary makes him look like Tom Brady.

you mean dink and dunking?

Doesn't matter, Jags have a bad habit of making backups look like Pro Bowlers...

Maybe that's true but not a 40 year old qb. Just not happening.
Colts 45-20.
Hasselback 25-31 332 yards and 3 TD.
Jags win 44-17, and I'm not saying this because I'm a homer either. Old man Hasselbeck is going to get a warm welcome to Sacksonville city with that horrendous O-line playing. This division, and this game, is ours to win.
It's the clots, at their place. All this talk of Luck not starting is bull. I think we can win but it won't be easy. I suspect we'll be down in the third quarter. I'm going to pick 25-24 Jags.
21-16 Colts...if Luck does not play. If Luck plays, 41-16 Colts
