I put a smiley there just so you know I was being sarcastic.
I still can't believe we played on a Friday night.
God the ACC sucks.

Which one is the Game of the Week? It seems like a lot of people think Notre Dame/Clemson is but nobody talks about Clemson except to say the Tigers are undefeated.

This is an awesome Saturday. Glad I'll be staying at home this weekend. Went to Oxford last weekend. Awesome time. Grove is pretty cool. Its different than other places in the sense that I feel like most colleges on gamedays have people tailgating basically everywhere on campus. But in Oxford it's very condensed and packed into that one central location. Which sounds overwhelming but seemed fairly orderly. You leave the Grove though and the rest of campus felt like a ghost town. Everybody just parties right there. Downtown was cool as well. Pretty small but some cool bars. Highly recommend anyone who loves college football to go check it out.
as far as games I care about...
Vandy at MTSU - I was surprised Vandy played Ole Miss as well as they did. Im sure the rebellious black bears were coming off an hangover after their big win but even still, I thought they would roll. I think for us Vandy fans, the quality of our defense has been overshadowed by the ineptitude of the offense. I believe every team we have played this year has their lowest point total against us. Even WKU who routinely scores 40+ only scored 14. Our problem early this season has been a terrible terrible offense. But they showed signs of life for the first time last weekend. I think this game will make or break the season... and potentially Derrick Mason's career. They have shown a lot of improvement over last year and even just this first month. If they go out and lay an egg all that improvement will be for naught and I could see the season snowballing into a 1 or 2 win season. But if they win and continue to get better and better offensively, I think they could finish with 4 and maybe 5 wins. ANd have a ton of momentum going into next year with every single good player coming back.
Bama at UGA - Game of the week in my opinion. UGA hasnt really been tested. Their running game is top notch. Verdict is still out on Lambert. Vandy shut him down but hten he come sback and sets NCAA record for comp%. Will the real Lambert please stand up. I wont be surprised by any outcome in this game. Cant wait to watch.
Ole Miss at Florida - A big test for both teams!
Notre Dame at Clemson - I have a hard time believing Notre Dame is this good. Their big win over Tech doesnt look as impressive this week. Nor does their escape against a hapless UVA team that only has a 6 point win over William & Mary to show for it. I'm not sure about Clemson either after struggling to beat Louisville.
Texas Tech at Baylor - Red Raiders playing tough this year. And Baylor rolling as usual. I see the over/under is 87.5. Amazing but that seems kinda low! First to 100 wins.
Miss St at Texas A&M - Can we draft that freshman Christian Kirk off A&M? Jags could use him!
West Virginia at Oklahoma - both teams undefeated. big game for the big12
Air Force at Navy - First game for the Commanders and Chiefs trophy. the winner of this game has won the trophy the last 18 years!
Arizona at Stanford - Stanford looking really solid after that opening week disaster. Arizona coming off embarassing loss at home to UCLA
BC at Duke - sneaky good game in the ACC
Wash St at Cal - I'm on Goff watch.

Damnit Miami, don't screw this up. I want them undefeated next weekend when we send them into their annual tailspin.

As much as I would love for Al Golden to stay, they need to move on. If Miami can make the right hire, they'll be back. They need someone who can keep the South Florida talent home.

They have had some talent there. Not the level they saw in the 80's or early 2000's. But that offense in 2013 was pretty stacked.

My mom said she has already seen barriers set up for the Gators game tomorrow. Do they really have to do that more than 24 hours before kickoff?

They aren't going to pay more for a new coach if they went that route and Golden is on the lower side of the power five schools as it is, plus he's signed through 2020.

Charlie Strong might not even make it to the end of this game. TCU puts up 30 on Texas in the first quarter.

Drew Lock of Mizzou looks pretty good. True freshman QB that was a 4 star recruit and one of the better pro style QB recruits outta high school last year. Supposedly was the best QB in their fall camp but they went with Mauk because of the experience. Based on how Lock has looked, think we have seen the last of Mauk.

Anyone watching Iowa-Wisconsin? They showed a picture of the 1983 Iowa coaching staff. Head coach was Hayden Fry. Assistants include Barry Alvarez, Bill Snyder, Kirk Ferentz, and Bob Stoops. Thats crazy! Talk about the whose who of coaches in the Midwest over the last 30 years.
