It does amaze me that teams in arguably worse shape than we were when Gene was put out of our misery are now among the league's best, and we continue to be taken about as seriously as a fire on the turf in St. Louis...maybe a little less so.

That entire division was in bad shape during that period of time. Arizona is ridiculously good though. Great coaching, great drafting, great player development.

I think you're underestimating the importance of that win last year. It validated the fact that "on any given Sunday" there may be a team out there that's worse than us.
Having Bruce Arians coach this team would make me happy.

No, its just winning football the oldschool way. People seem to think its obsolete, or that it doesnt work. Thats because a lot of teams who use this formula are compensating for a weak QB, by only running and playing strong defense. Add this formula with a good QB and some great wide outs however, and it'll win every time.

Crappy teams turn it around out of nowhere every year, it's just never the Jags. Doesn't matter who we have at coach, or what players we have, it's the same thing year in and year out.
