Quote:Nah, Trubisky is a loser. This team needs a winner at QB. Watson won at Clemson and he won big league.
"Bortles needs to cut down on turnovers"
So... you suggest we draft a QB who had issues with INTs against College DBs?
Quote:I know.
It's hard to admit sometimes as an adult to admit when you made a mistake.
Apology accepted!
I have to tell you, when you jump to the wrong conclusion, you truly go big. That's quite an impressive double down on your part.
Congrats!
Quote:Were there any other mysteries of the Jaguar revealed during the presser?
Sweeping corners is tougher than it sounds.
Quote:We need toughness. We need strength and we need toughness. We haven't had toughness but Tom can bring it back. Tom built an incredible team in New York with outstanding players. He built a successful team that won. And I don't say this in a bragadocious way, I say this because that's the kind of thinking we need to make the Jags great again, believe me.
I agree. Bigly.

He should've got a Roomba.
Quote:It sure beats losing. Some QBs know how to win, and others like Bortles find ways to lose every week. We haven't had a winner at the position since Garrard.
You know that David Garrard went 39 and 37 as a starter doing this career right? Those winter percent does exactly scream Hall of Fame or franchise qb. Also, he has thrown 89 td's in 9 years hey Blake who y'all think is sorry has thrown 80 touchdowns in three years so please put your David Garrard pajamas down because he didn't do much for this franchise with more around him.

It's gonna be yyyyyeeeuuuuuugggeeee.
I think when we talk about QB competition, it'll be from a FA. ESPN was talking about what Coughlin said and mentioned Jay Cutler as someone who may be brought in to push Blake. It could be Cutler or someone else like Foles or another QB with starting experience. Who knows? As far as the rest of the conference, I love the idea of getting tougher. This team was mentally weak last year, because Gus kept making everything sound like it was sunshine and roses. It's nice to have a change from that crap. Bringing in a FB, working on the RB position, improving the O-Line and empasizing special teams are things that should've been done a long time ago. Finally, they are gonna get addressed.
Maybe that is why they are shopping Julius Thomas. He is the opposite of tough
Quote:Signed,
Tim Tebow
Tebow sucks at QB just like Bortles. But at least he could win games. I'd rather have the results Denver had wit Tebow, ie division title and playoff win, than anything trash Bortles has done.

Same with Yeldon. They need to ship him next.

I never said Garrard was a Hall of Famer. He did do alot for this franchise though, more than any QB we have ever had besides Brunell. Garrard had his limitations but he was a gritty competitor that made clutch plays. You can't act like Garrard didn't deliver to us fans the best on field moments we have seen in the past 15 years.

Let's not pretend that's saying something.
It's been Brunell, then everyone else (and everyone else isn't close.)
And that's not because Brunell was anything special, either. He was for a short time (before his injury,) but not after. He was borderline special who became very average after his health and talent dropped around him.
So from listening to the recording I noticed one thing early. They asked him how he felt about the RB position with Yeldon and Ivory and TC said
"They need to play better"
They then asked about the De spot with Ngakoue and Fowler and he said
"They both showed flashes of rushing the passer. We need more production, but I'm encouraged by that spot. But you can never have enough pass rushers"
My take away from that, IMO, shows a desire to upgrade the RB in the draft (Fournette/Cook) and maybe bring in a FA rusher like JPP. He said nothing good about the RB position.

That's because nothing good came from the RB position.

True, but he didn't even go into any detail at all. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but he definitely seems to want a new RB
Why does "seems to want a new RB" automatically mean Fournette or Cook? There are over a dozen quality RBs in this draft.

Agree, I could see us trading down and taking McCaffrey who could be better than both.

Nah, no thanks on Gerhart jr.

At least we didn't have any white running backs running the ball
