Most of us by now realize that the Jags value Henne's off the field value at $8M for 2 years w/$4.5 M guaranteed.

 

We will see what they value it in 2016 when Henne is a unrestricted free agent.

The Bills were paying Cassel $2 mil based on the entire year, so Henne's $3.5 mil savings had they released him would not only pay for Cassel's salary but would have cleared an additional $1.5 mil.


 

Caldwell sure isn't Gene Smith. Gene would almost always do what I posted should be done. I mean, I felt like I was typically able to call his moves before they happened. Caldwell often leaves me scratching my head, and then I find out down the road why he did it.
