Quote:I'd still place my $$ on the Colts to win the division.
After seeing what they did the first two weeks? The Colts got hammered by the Bills and Jets defenses despite having Andrew Luck a their quarterback. I am not surprised some Jaguars fans think we can beat beat the Colts next week.
BTW how in the world did anyone come up with 11%? There is a 25% chance of winning the division. The way they are looking now, I would not expect them to get in as a wild card.

I believe they call it math.
Out of the teams listed Id say the colts have the easiest chance to make it after 0-2(again) I know lot of folks want to see the Seahawks but they are in a harder division for sure.

Everyone seems to be saying Seattle would have won in St. Louis if Kam Chancellor played. Now that he is back people are saying the Seahawks will get better. I think it is an exaggeration, but there is no doubt having him back will help.
Updat,the percentage may be rising.

Only in the AFCS ...

I feel sorry for you if you thought that statistic had any bearing on the AFC South
The Colts may as well be an Independent because no one's going to compete with them. No one's going to take that next step. The Jags had a chance but they have a terribad coach, and knowing their luck they'll be ready to compete in 2016 only to lose the division to Marcus Mariota.

Why wouldn't it? If it's not, that statistic is/was garbage.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Colts should really be 1-4

Since when are the Colts the Patriots? They're not even that good. What next step? The statistic is simple math. No way all 3 other AFCS teams should be handing over the division to that team. Colts have nothing to do with any of these teams not making the playoffs.

I'm not a statistician but I can tell you that if a statistic says a team has a 1/10 chance of making the playoffs, and they make the playoffs, this doesn't disprove the statistic unless the statistic was 0/10.
With that said, we all know who's been winning the AFCS. It's no secret. You could make another statistic that puts the Colts chances of winning at 90+% or whatever it is. But that's not the point. The point is how ridiculous it is to defy basic mathematical rules with a team that doesn't even justify it. The statistic is correct and will likely continue to be correct. In the near future, 11% of 0-2 teams will continue to make the playoffs reguardless of what the Colts do. So there is no reason the Colts should be winning the division in the real world (which apparently doesn't include the AFCS).
I'm not going to say I'm extremely knowledgable with the Colts roster, but I know there's problems. Players reaching expiration dates. Franchise QB not playing well. Questionable roster. No wins outside the division. If the AFCS is this bad and you can barely beat them (without a series of preposterous events), how good could you actually be?

The Colts have already beaten all three of their rivals this year, two of them with their backup quarterback. I'd say losing divisional games has more of an effect on not making the playoffs than any game any of these teams will play this year.
The Colts aren't good. Even Colts fans will tell you that. But they're good enough, and the teams in their division are terrible, and it didn't take that long for them to prove that once again this year.
As far as the statistic goes, I never said anything about disproving it or it being incorrect. I said it had no bearing because the Colts are a very special case. Even at 0-2, I think they were still the favorites to win the division, as they should've been.

You are right and this is what's mindboggling. When Peyton Manning was in the division, OK fair enough. But these guys. This year? How??? Explain to me how? It's hard to put into words how stupid this is. If it were just us, I could understand. But the entire division banding together to annoint this trainwreck the official ruler of their dumpster fire. Why??

It's very confusing. The Jaguars might have the most talented offense in the AFC Sout hbut they still can't put it together. But think about the things that were huge reasons why we lost the games we should've won and you quickly realize that coaching is probably the biggest reason.
If Jacksonville goes into the season with anyone else at head coach you're possibly talking about a 3-2 ball club right now.

lol, yeah, it's currently up to 99% and rising each week.
The AFCS is such a joke, easily the worst division in football ainec.
Even Luck has been bad and is dragging it down even further into the depths of despair then it already was. Just sad and pitiful really.

Yep, we should rename the division ADFCS (American Dumpster Fire Conference South)
