Quote:Yea. We didn't see nearly as many long out routes. Lots of great downfield throws.
Still too many drops for my liking and bad penalties (like the Parnell hands to the face after a great 3rd down conversion)
That hands to the face penalty was Bogus at best. On the replay it clearly showed No Hands to the face of the defender. Simply another one of those "They, the referees, Don't Like Us" scenarios. Conspiracy. I personally don't feel this way but is sure sometimes feels that way...

I feel this way every home game, but its not as much of a bad feeling when its an away game. I always say the home team gets the 50/50 calls for the advantage but every home game we play feels like an away game. I have watched too many games to feel that any explanation is acceptable with all of the bad calls and blown calls we get at home games. I hate it and feel like if we could just complain in some form about it, it would improve but until we start winning consistently and the league fears embarrassment with the media and fans watching us in primetime, it wont change. Every game is reviewed and there's no excuse to have calls in each game that are an utter disgrace to the rules of the NFL. I can rant for days about this but just know, I FEEL YA.
Quote:Like I said. The trail of tears crowd is now forced to live in the shoulda, woulda, coulda domain. They can't be happy with a win. They must find something to grind over.
FYI, how many actual picks did Bortles throw?
Go curl up in the fetal position in a corner and wait for next Sunday. Get plenty of rest in the hope the Jags lose next week so you'll be able to spring into action.
LOL... That was a Well Placed\Deserved kick...

Yeah, I don't like them playing w/my emotions...

Quote:A more appropriate mocking nickname would be Byron Bortles because Leftwich was a guy who was always looking down the field trying to make a play as he waited for his snail-like receivers to get open. Bortles has the physicality and mobility of Garrard with the football IQ of Leftwich, in addition to having the ability to transform his mechanics, which Byron refused to do.
Last week the trail of tears crowd was declaring him a bust. They've been eerily silent since around 7:30 last night.
Ya know I used to say that the perfect QB back in that era would to blend David's athletic ability with Byron's football IQ. I did not notice that in Blake until your post

I am right there with you. We got called for a pick, granted it was blatant but just watch the uncalled picks this week
Quote:I'm sorry but him throwing picks sixes is not an anomaly whatsoever by any way shape or means
he should have been picked off yesterday too in a ball he literally threw right to the guy which had blockers in front of him possibly meaning another pick 6
Don't know if you have watched much of Andrew Luck but he makes bad throws like this all the time. Young QBs make bad throws, better than ultra conservative play

Exactly, the difference is that they let him run the show and he slings the ball all over the place. They live and die by him. This year they are dying lol.

Agreed... As an NFL QB, you're bound to give up a Pic6. You just have to keep it at a minimum...

Anyone else notice Bortles is throwing off his back foot more in the regular season than in the preseason? I've also noticed his wind up is medium, compared to his short delivery in the preseason and long in college/rookie year. As a result some balls are sailing on receivers, esp in the endzone.
If he takes another step with mechanics in week 3 from week 2, like he did in week 2 from week 1 - I'll be silent on the topic.
