Did anyone else think that should have been reviewed and overturned?? He clearly lost the ball going to the ground with it. Thankfully we still won but if we hadn't, that would have changed a lot.

Definitely. H3 didn't complete the act. The only thing I could think of is that he crossed the plane before he lost it.
