yeah? do you have any reasoning to back this up besides the fact that you dont like blake?

If the Jaguars end up with Kirk Cousins this year,  to me it would rank with the team drafting Tyson Alualu with pick # 10 in 2010 as the Jaguars most shocking personnel decision this century!

I dont see what ya saying. Cousins is accurate. And has won big games.

If can get AR15, Lee, and Hurns the ball they can make plays.

Cousins started off as a backup and earned the starting job.

Bortles was handed it. Also Washington is a train wreck. And Cousins would benefit on an ascending team.

I think your way off base. And give Bortles way too much credit.

And I would rather have a vet who is reliable.

Then draft a guy who can bust or is a unknown.

If cousins joins the Jags it is a win win. And easily be in AFC South Division Title Hunt. .

And most likely can win. Cause the reality is we could of scored more. We win the division last few years.

D6 we have lost 10 years in a row and can't win more then 8 games.

And most seasons only 4-6 we need a accurate qb.

We need excitement. If in three years he fails in second round of playoffs or championship so what.

We need the now. We need to win now. And win big!

Kirk "earned" his job because RG3 wasnt healthy and he beat out legendary quarterback colt mccoy lol

washington isnt a train wreck, i have no idea why you think this. And the fact that you think were not a trainwreck but an improvement, i have no idea what world youre living in.

And Kirk is going to get one of the biggest contracts in the league. You dont hand that money just so you can lose in the playoffs. You dont throw that money at a guy just to win some games now and peak at the divisional round. Thats moronic.

No what is. Sticking with a guy who over the course of his career only has won 13 games.

Not wanting kirk doesnt mean i support blake, it just means i dont want to give a billion dollars to an average quarterback to lose in the playoffs.

Brother I've been reading those same words typed on here every offseason since the first time I subjected myself to this god-forsaken place. It's either never true, or it never really matters much.

Teal Time Radio,  my opinion on Kirk Cousins has nothing to do with Blake Bortles.  I'm far from certain that Bortles will ever get his career back on the track I thought he was on prior to the 2016 season.

If anyone can relate to a multitude of consecutive losing seasons,  I'm at or near the top of the list.   Yet, my view of Cousins is he's a band-aid,  not a true solution.  IMO, if a team is going to spend big money and possibly in addition major trade compensation on a QB, he definitely needs to be better than Cousins has been.  His stats might look impressive but I think he benefited greatly from the situation he's been in with the Redskins.  ,

Fair enough.  Is your stand the same with Romo or Taylor as well?   You are a very intelligent poster.   I just am curious if you feel help could be on the way?  Or are we just in your opinion going to ride it out with Blake?
Moot point now he has been franchise tagged.
Tagged, could be traded to Jaguars for Bortles. Even swap. Do it Coughlin.

I'm trying to figure out which QB it is that has won only 13 games.

It isn't Bortles because he has only won 11 games as a starting QB so far.

I was given Bortles benefit of the doubt.

That's not what BOTD means

link?
So, Cousins officially requested a trade today and the Redskins told him not to anticipate one.

This whole situation is so strange to me. In a league where finding a good QB is so hard, I don't understand why the Redskins don't just give him a long term deal. He has proved two years in a row now that he is a good quarterback. Maybe they just want him to prove it for one more year before they offer him anything, but what why let him go and start all over again at that position?

Thanks, TTR!

I think Tony Romo is a better QB than Kirk Cousins.  However,  Romo turns 37 next month and can't stay healthy.  At least though no compensation will be needed via a trade to get him.  If Romo did sign with the Jaguars,  that's probably the end of the Blake Bortles era.  I'm not anticipating it but less likely things have happened.

Tyrod Taylor is an unconventional type of QB.  I prefer him over Cousins but it's a moot point now that he's remaining in Buffalo.

The Jaguars probably will add a QB of note in the off-season.  With the middle rounds of the draft a very realistic possibility at this time.

My gut feeling is the Redskins understandably have doubt Kirk Cousins is the long term answer.  Yet,  because of limited QB options,  they have been reluctant to move on from him.  It feels like the Redskins are in limbo.
