Alabama got humbled last night against Ole Miss. It just goes to show that this SEC conference is entirely up for grabs (no pun intended).

Ole Miss was a good team last year but had a QB that was either really good or really bad.  And when he stunk he brought the whole team down with him.  Based on his stint and departure at Clemson, not sure Im a fan of Chad Kelly.  But I dont get the impression he will lose his team a bunch of games the way Beau Wallace did.

As far as last night they were pretty even teams to me but Ole Miss seemed to have the ball bounce their way.  The tipped TD and then the other long TD in the game that should have been a penalty.  Lineman was downfield.  Plus Bama basically wasted the first quarter starting Bateman.  Not sure why they didnt go with Coker the whole time.  Anyways fun game to watch.  Bama is gonna have a tough time making the playoff.  You basically need to win your conference and theyll need Ole Miss to lose twice in order to pass them in the standings.

I'll actually be in Oxford next weekend for the Vandy game.  Cant imagine we are gonna keep it close but the tailgating beforehand should be awesome.

Ultimately, Bama beat themselves last night. 5 turnovers and didn't force any on defense. I wasn't really impressed by Kelly, but Treadwell is a specimen. Always enjoyed watching him last season. He will be playing on Sundays, for sure.

As of right now, it looks like LSU might be the team to beat in the SEC East. Fournette is a beast.
I was rooting for Ole Miss because of Alabama's ranking. It was awesome to see a stunned and silent crowd during the third quarter. When the Rebels were up by 17 I thought no way is Alabama coming back. Then when Alabama's offense woke up I began to worry they could completely erase the deficit. My favorite play obviously was Chad Kelly's 66-yard touchdown. That was unbelievable.

How far do you think Alabama will or should drop after losing to #15?

I think Bama will drop to #13.

Fixed that for you. The SEC East team to beat is obviously Georgia.

Last night was the first time I saw Kelly, so I can't have an opinion about him. Maybe Treadwell is making him look better than he is, who knows.

And Ole Miss will jump over FSU.
Really like Trae Elston as a FS prospect....he played the "Strong Safety" position last year while Cody Prewitt played the FS.  Now he gets his opportunity to showcase his range and ball skills...3 picks in 3 games with 2 returned for TDs and nearly had the 3rd returned against Alabama.

He isn't afraid to lay the wood either...

Please take your SEC opinions to the Ohio State boards.

Edit:  Do you really think Ohio State is the #1 team in the country?  That god awful schedule is embarrassing, but Urb gonna Urb.

When your team recovers an onside kick your player batted ten yards down field then I'd say the ball bounced in Alabama's favor as well. Ole miss was simply the better team and deserves the credit. They went into Alabama in front of a hostile crowd on a Saturday night game and simply out played Alabama . This notion that ole miss was lucky and the ball bounced in their favor is ridiculous.

Ole miss also dropped 2 more Ints that hit them in the numbers which later led to Bama scoring another TD on at least one of them.

Both teams got some favorable bounces but everyone will remember the crazy deflection play.

The lineman downfield had no effect on the play and is more of an excuse than a cause of the TD....don't give me the BS about the secondary keying on it as the CB broke when the OL was at the 2-3 yard (legal) distance and didn't even get a block on anyone that could have done anything about the play.  Similar to a RB busting a long run down the right side only to have a flag thrown at the LoS for a WR on the left side holding a CB....does it really affect the play?
