Great article. Urban Meyer was a manipulative guy in many ways. He left that program in ruins.

I love the articles that give you a behind the scenes perspective. Somebody on sbnation wrote an article about the college football bag man. I thought it was really good as well.

People need to get over it, the dude came and won 2 championships, who cares if he left, coaches leave teams all the time, most of the time that coach hasnt dont enough to win the big one.
People act like he left for UGA, Tenn or FSU, he went to OSU a team not even in the SEA.
If the Jaguars had a coach that lead us to 2 Super Bowl wins, he would be praised until eternity, we wouldnt care if he retired and then came back to coach a NFC team

That roster was trash when he left. I don't care if it was the number one in the nation.
Kids were getting in trouble with the law and Muschamp had to just move on from some. Urban Meyer knew the ship was about to sink and he wanted out fast. He knew exactly what he was doing. No Percy Harvin the following year showed how little talent that team had. Losing Tebow was the last straw, he couldn't take it.
Let's all hope a media member doesn't use a direct quote from a player or try to dig around and see what players are getting in trouble. Urban Meyer will kick the news affiliation your with out of practice. Whatever he can to cover things up.

When Tebow left, Meyer's fate was sealed.

you know they are different animals.
That being said I don't give 2 chicklets what ranking the recruiting class is.
Everyone knows that those top ranked hs prospects don't mean diddly.
Driskel? Top FL QB or some junk.....
Where does he play now? What did he do here?
Meyer knew the cupboards were bare.... he rode his Tebow train and when he saw the writing on the wall, dude backed out on us.
We don't hate him like TN folks hate Kiffen....
I'm glad he won us some championships.....
I don't blame Meyer for 2013 and 2014... those years are all on Muschump, his recruts, his coaches, his schemes...
but Meyer left this team in such weak offensive positioning that the decline was steep.
And they have yet (until McElwain) to climb out of it really
