Quote:Mayflower still the official moving company for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Pretty horrific idea by someone in Marketing.
How do you think all of the equipment and gear makes it to away games?

I would imagine just about every company that does business with the Jaguars becomes an official sponsor in some capacity to barter at least a portion of their fees.  If the team is generating revenue, who cares where it's coming from?

Pay the extra money to move the gear without an official sponsorship agreement.

Understand the fan sensitivity about the moving rumors (however unfounded), and don't put the add you describe in an earlier post in their face.

Especially for Mayflower of all possible partners.
This reminds me a few years ago when the Jaguars had a paid advertisement in the stadium by a garbage company. Fortunately, it was only in the small scrolling board, but it had their slogan...something along the lines of "We know trash"

Quote:No more hilarious than the Jaguars sponsor running a commercial showing them packing up a moving truck with the team mascot included after all of the years of talk about this team relocating.  Sponsorship is sponsorship.  I'm sure the mover the Rams are advertising in their game day program has been doing so since winning the contract to move the equipment from away game to away game.

Yep. I hate it, but its dollars at work. I mean, we have a section in our stadium called the "Clevelander Deck"
