Quote:I don't do impressions, ma'am, my field is construction.

Do you think you could construct a few wins for the Jags this season or is that just too much to ask?
Quote:Ever heard of the internet?

Maybe she fell asleep after the 4th carry and didn't see the other 6.

That's why she thought it was only 4, makes sense to me.
...and Hyde was clearly the starter. I didn't even see Bush in the game except to spell Hyde.

I saw Bush get hurt and hop to the sideline after his second carry. It happened early in the game. Hayne was the guy who spelled Hyde.
I remembered something else that happened in Week 1: Jeremy Mincey did something really stupid that should have gotten him ejected. Why didn't the referee throw him out of the game for ripping an opponent's helmet off?

Rams are going to kick some booty, at least somewhat. Seattle is going to lose kam to someone else.

Where's he going to go? They said they don't want to trade him and he has 3 years left

They keep dropping the Giants name

What are the my going to give away to get him? They'd have to give up a RG3 type haul to make Seattle bite

I doubt that. This is NY and they'll get what they want just like they got Eli.

Losing the first game did not help Seattle get Kam Chancellor back any sooner. He had nothing to do with it.
Quote:What were your impressions about Week 1 games throughout the NFL? Not just who won and how, but also what happened on the field? I am talking about all 32 teams here.

1. Reggie Bush injury: Obviously it is never good to see a player hopping to the sideline like Bush did, you have to love how well Carlos Hyde played as his replacement. At one point ESPN said he ran 24 times in the game for 186 yards IIRC. My impression after watching Hyde all night was he can be a starter someday if that continues the whole time Bush is out.

2. The Eagles made a big mistake in the offseason. Sam Bradford made me wish they had kept Nick Foles.  Meanwhile Foles beat the NFC Champs Seahawks. So in hindsight the Eagles should regret trading a pretty good starting quarterback for one who has spent most of his career on injury reports.

3. Kicks from 33 yards: When I heard the accuracy rate in preseason was 93 percent I thought that probably has something to do with who missed PAT attempts because the first miss I saw was by Jason Myers. Can we really count him in favor of the new rule when he just played his first NFL game? I want to see some veteran kickers miss it and hold off on judging the rule change until after Week 17.

4. San Francisco's biggest problem is special teams. The offense still looks good without Bush and the defense still looks great despite the flurry of retirements and free agent losses. Now they need to fix special teams to get back into the playoffs. I think that should include making Hyde the punt returner (in addition to his regular job) instead of a former rugby player

#1.) I never liked Reggie Bush on or off of the field.

#2.) It almost seems as if Chip Kelly is trying to destroy the team that Andy Reid had built up.

#3.) Myers is a rookie, he'll improve.  The rule change made the extra point more entertaining so that you simply dont expect it anymore & makes HCs think about going for the 2 point more now.

#4.) SanFran's biggest problem is those ugly uniforms.  Puke.  SanFran wont be the same team it has been in the past few years.

--------------------------------

  • The AFC East all won which is noteworthy but the AFC West is probably the toughest division in the NFL this year.
  • The AFC South appears to be the easiest div to beat this year.
  • JJ Watt is the best player in the NFL without question (of course I haven't seen him play QB yet).
  • TJ Yeldon was the most impressive among the rookie RBs in my opinion based on his moves and playing injured behind a poor Oline with a weak passing game.
  • Chris Clemons is truly under appreciated in Jacksonville.  He had a sack, a pd, a fg block, etc & yet nobody on the mb (not even the media) just the mb isnt raving about it.

The 2 point rule was made to screw with the point spread. The entertainment aspect was just an added bonus and not why they did it

When Seattle has straight up said they have no interest in trading him. OK.

You realize media constantly gives you conflicting stories. They aren't obligated to tell you truth anymore.

Kam will end up with another team.
An RG3 type haul of picks for a 27 year old SS? Man some of you guys take drugs I swear.

When JJ Watt accounts for 2-3 tds per week like Aaron Rodgers does, then it would proper to call him the best player in the league. Best defender? Sure, why not. Best player in the league? No way.
