Quote:I'm glad I'm not the only person to realize that this loss is squarely on Caldwell for trading away Scobee.  He was the heart and soul of the team, the inspirational leader and voice of reason.

You could see people were playing flat because he wasn't around.

Josh Scobee has been struggling in recent seasons. His best days are behind him. That is why we felt it was time to move on to a new kicker. Unfortunately, the new kicker has not been in the NFL very long.
Quote:Are you sure it was just us making mistakes and had nothing to do with the Panthers simply being a better team? We are talking about a team that won 7 games last season, then beat the Cardinals. Not a shabby record.

What exactly is a "shabby record"?

Do the Jags have a "shabby record"? or a "shabby team?

What is this "shabby" you speak of?
I'm telling myself that the defense indeed is going to be great this year and game 1 was not luck. I'm also telling myself that since Lee and Thomas were out, we didn't use the Tight Ends as much as well as the drops by WR is a fixable issue. That being said, if our offense puts up some points we can win any game if our defense continues to play like they did vs Panthers.

Quote:The four points Myers left on the field had little to do with the 11-point loss.
Agreed, it was the 2nd half the team came out flat. It was not the same team as the 1st half.

Gus Bradley is the worst 2nd half HC ever.  I don't know what he says at halftime but it aint working.

Actually his errors, and the pick 6(only 2 plays). Take those two away (give us the 4 points and take out the pick six) and we go to overtime, 13-13. Lot of hypothetical scenarios though Carolina left points out there too.

If you're going to include hypotheticals then you must include Ted Ginns drop, other misses/drops, their 2 missed FGs, etc.  They only played slightly less lame than we did.

Not to mention the questionable pi they called on the Olsen td.

Too many pessimists, so little patience.
I see J Dub is back for more flybys

LOLOLOL 7 games as an accomplishment and only got to the play-offs cause someone had to from that sorry division called the NFC South. Not to mention they beat up on the most injured roster in the NFL (Cardinals) and were abusing a 3rd string QB. Yeah, they're real good!

Welcome back JW.......
