If your already a fan it's torture to watch.  If a new fan you got to ask yourself if you like punishment

Holy wall of text!
How to be a Jaguars fan: Tell other Jaguar fans who are unhappy with the team how irrational they are. Be sure to point out their impatience and their blindness to the big picture

Quote:Expect to lose every game? I agree with you that losing is unacceptable but can't agree with the premise.

Okay, Gus, nice pep talk. When do I get my ice cream and sprinkles?

Oh wait...sprinkles are for winners.

Classic!
Quote:Terrible thread. Lost me at expect to lose every game. These men are professionals, we should expect to win every game. If not, why watch?
Agreed the thread wasnt bad until that point.  You should never be excited about losing, its a game in which the goal is to win.

I agree with the part about not being a cry baby about it, but you shouldnt act like its a good thing to lose.

I would still take ten years of Gus Bradley over one more year of Mularkey.
Quote:Picture yourself seeing the sign to the gates of hell as you enter the stadium..."Abandon all hope ye who enter here."

Since I am a Jags fan, I'm just glad that sign doesn't say "abandon all dope ye who enter here."
Quote:Everyone is upset we lost and the manner in which it happened was just awful and deflating, but you are correct, the amount of insufferable whining is bordering on the ridiculous.

That's because the Jags amount of insufferable losing is bordering on the ridiculous.

Not saying I disagree but Mularkey was doomed from the start, any coach who's job relied on turning Gabby into something that's not a turd was screwed.

Yeah but his taking a knee at the half when behind in a game (like in Buffalo) always bugged the heck out of me.

Yeah he was about as milquetoast as they come (in a coaching sense), I don't disagree with your original point though.

From now on, I just go to games for the drunk girls and free swag
Expect more, get less
pick up large object

drop on foot

scream

repeat

Telling fans to 'expect to lose' is utter nonsense..

I'm happy people around here are f i n a l l y getting as sick of the suck as a number of us more critical types.

It's always the same apologists...   lose lose and more lose...  "just get used to it",,  "we're on the right path"..  Some things are better, other things are worse..  It is the suck that is consistent.  Not just normal suck... RECORD SUCK...  which is what the OP suggests..  0-16 is the NFL suck record from one of the worst organizations in the modern Superbowl age.  The consideration of matching that, and being told to accept it, is worthy only of the poster's screen name.

DON'T ACCEPT THE SUCK !!!!!!     Make your voices heard, and demand a higher bar..

I prefer...

1. Get pumped in the offseason full of changes

2.

3. Get over reactionary about the preseason, good and bad.

4. Watch season opener.

5. Lay down.

6. Try not to cry

7. Cry a lot.

8. Over react some more.

9. Rinse.

10. Repeat

My local ABC store has "GO JAGS!" on the marquee.

I think they've nailed their target market.

So it IS true that misery loves company.

That's just sad.  And on so many levels.
Guys, its fine that we've sucked for a decade. It's completely fine that some things look even worse than they use to be, but some things are better! It's really okay that Bortles had a bad game and now we don't know if he will be our franchise QB or not. Our coaches decided to suck at play-calling and made our team play conservative ball.

" Aww man, all these folks on here just complain and they need to be patient " Shutup.

"Things are coming together and you guys need to expect losses " Shutup.

" They've been mad and wanted Bradley fired day one! " Shutup.

You APOLOGIST are ridiculous. I don't care what you think or how you feel about other FANS complaining about a team that has SUCKED for almost TEN YEARS. If you're so happy with sucking, don't even comment. Who cares if fans want to complain about their team being a disappointment? You have no right to tell them otherwise. This is a message board to express your opinion on the Jaguars and talk about them. And guess what? They suck, so we're going to talk about that.

Joking aside, Jaguar fans have been outstanding over these last five years. The support is amazing.  There hasn't been much entertainment on the field in a while, but that's not what drives Jags fans. It's love.  And that's the sign of a great NFL town.

Did anyone else catch Odrick's comment about the energy of the crowd? He was impressed.  To me, this town is starving for a winner, and when it happens, it's going to be like the second coming of the Fourth of July in Jax.

I do believe our patience and support will be rewarded soon.
