Quote:He was still running Olson's offense. So no... you are not right.
Hackett could have added fullback plays if he wanted to.

We had some fullback plays, but since we didn't have a real FB on the roster we had to put Alualu or (especially later in the year) Ben Koyack at fullback role in those situations.
In addition to what Coughlin said Marrone used a fullback in Buffalo so it's reasonable they'll bring one in.

I never understood why we used Alualu as a fullback. Doing so forced him to report himself eligible before the play because he wears #93. It will be good to see a real fullback on offense.

For knowing absolutely nothing somebody certainly seems to knows everything.

There is no reason to think I know absolutely nothing.

This would be a massive mistake

Quote:This would be a massive mistakeListening to Marrone and Coughlin in recent pressers, it seems pretty clear they will at least have a FB or two in camp before deciding between using a dedicated lead blocker or scheming their TEs to compensate.
Right now - it seems they are referring to using the TEs in that role as "option B." This is the impression I get anyway.

A guy to keep an eye on as a potential late round/UDFA guy is Anthony Firkser from Harvard. Just like Juszczyk, he projects as a FB who played TE/H-Back at Harvard. He seems to check most the boxes that Marrone and Coughlin talked about for a FB (athletic, STer, versatile, etc.)
