When I read the thread title this is what I thought it was about.

Im still all for keeping on track for what we have now. However I will more than likely feel otherwise if we end up being blown out all season again.

I'd give Bortles the rest of this season to show us something good enough to merit the tag of 'franchise quarterback'. It's discouraging to see other teams rookie quarterbacks come out like gang busters and light up the scoreboard (see the tacks quarterback) while ours is now in his second season and still looks impotent out there. Not 'I'm scared to the point I wet my pants' like gabbert impotent, but just not getting it done. Right now, Bortles just looks like a young Henne.

 

Lee just seems like an inexperienced clone of CSIII. Give him the rest of the season and if things don't change with his frequent little 'booboo' injuries keeping him off the field then get rid of him. I know some have compared him to Jimmy Smith before Jimmy came here or to Fred Taylor. Trust me, that is an insult to Jimmy Smith and Fred Taylor.

 

I say give Gus this season, if it's less than a 6-10 then give him his walking papers. If it's clear we won't even make 6-10 before the season over, sack him immediately and let Marrone finish the season as head coach. 

 

If Gus fails, and if Bortles is still struggling, then Dave Caldwell needs to be given his walking papers too since he didn't first build the o-line before nabbing a quaterback. We've had too many first round draft busts and too many over paid free agents show up here.

calm down on the Mariota talk because you know who came out like gangbusters during their rookie year? RGIII and we all know how that situation turned out. Bortles is still developing so give the man time before you judge him.

Actually it would be great for this franchise if Bortles out gunned or even played on a similar level as Brady, win or lose.
