For the Colts' first two divisional games, it seemed like it was a contest of who was trying to lose the most. I think the Titans, Jags, and Colts have problems on both sides of the ball. Based on the Colts/Titans game, Tennessee lacks targets for Mariota (who I like a lot), the Colts' offensive line is porous, and what is wrong with the Jaguars has been well-chronicled in the aftermath of the game on Sunday. Haven't seen the Texans yet.
Quote:Worst division, thats not the Colts fault, now is it?? If the other 3 teams played as well as the Colts the last 13 out of 15 years the division would be the best in the leauge. Just another take on this.
If the Colts were in the AFCN the past couple seasons, it's doubtful they would be division winners. Over the past few seasons the Colts have been blown out @Pitt, @Cincy, @Balt. On the other hand, they have beaten some of those teams in Indy.

It would be very interesting/competitive if they were in the AFCN. I can say with confidence there would not be any guaranteed playoff spot for them.

If the Colts were in the AFCN it'd be VERY competitive.

While we have been blown out @Pit, @Cincy, & @Balt (if we're counting Luck's rookie year in the playoffs), we've blown out the Bengals & Ravens at home. Haven't played the Steelers at home since Luck's been here.

Yup. That would be one HECK of a division of the Colts were in it. You're right,, VERY competitive.
So far our division has only beat Miami and Tampa outside the division. Every team is terrible.
lets remember that the colts have to play 2 other division winners every year (for finishing first) aside of the other two divisions asigned to us.

the good news is when you lose to bad teams you win the tiebreakers for the NFL Draft.

other than peytons and luck drafts. the colts pick very low and/or last or next to it? so im not sure that really applies?

AFC South is the worst division in the NFL without question, the Colts whom lead the division only have wins against teams in their own division.

Thats how you tell which division is the worst...

And it looks like the titans jags and texans are going to do their best to ensure that the colts get in the playoffs again.
the colts avg. 11 wins a season the last 10 years including a 2 win 14 lost year. Not bad considering they play 6 division games a year so they are beating someone else regulary.

The Colts can literally pluck turds out of the stadium toilets, dress them in Colts uniforms, and still beat the Jaguars by three.

That just stinks.

Yeah,, they get 6 wins per year courtesy of the AFCS. That means they go 5-5 against non-division (.500 team,, which actally is about right for them).

Lucky for the .500 Colts,,, rest of the AFCS are .250 teams (if even that).

Right. If the colts played in the AFC central, which is where they belong from a geographic perspective, they'd be a 6 or 7 win team and their front office and coaching staff would have already been turned over since Luck's arrival. However, since they get 6 gimmes a year they're thought of as superbowl contenders even though they get cut down as if by a buzz saw every time they face an actual contender.

I am so tired of seeing the Colts on top of the AFC South, especially when the Jaguars let them off of the hook.  The Jags shouldve defeated the Panthers (Luke Joeckel's fault), they shouldve defeated the Colts (never shouldve went to OT), and they shouldve beaten the Bucs (Defense let up way too much).

The record should really be 4-1, and we would all be talking bout 5-1 after this texans game & how the team isnt SB ready so of course they would lose to the Patriots.

Instead we are talking about which HC to get and which player to draft with the 1st overall pick.

I hope I'm wrong, and that others are right.  That the team has simply been unlucky and will turn things around to go 7-9 and be on track to have a much better season next year... but after losing the way they did to the Bucs

has many with lost hope...

Right thats what happens the last 3 years. Last year the cheatiots beat us in the afc game, guess the two games B4 dont count.

As far as the afc central the colts have well there also with the exception of Pitt.
I don't think I want to watch the Patriots beat the Colts by +20 points for the fifth straight time in a row this week.

I agree with everything you said. At minimum we should be 3-2 and a half game ahead of the colts.

I too will always hope, no matter what I type in frustration.
LET's get FIRED UP, LET's get FIRED UP!

GO JAGUARS!

I hope to see Blake Bortles & the ALLEN company tear up the Texans Defense this week!
