Just wanted to remind everyone Jeff Driskel will be on tonight as LaTech takes on W. Kentucky

Week 1 ->  Jeff D was 12 for 15 for 274 yards and 4 TDs  in a 62-15 win vs Southern

Week 1 -> W. Kentucky beat Vandy 14-12

should be interesting to see Driskel in a non-Muschamp system.

Lol

I may actually turn this on to give it a watch.  That poor kid walked into a Muschamp buzz saw.

They said on the radio yesterday that they would go out on the field and Muschamp would be talking about setting themselves up for a punt to flip the field.  What?!  What an idiot.

Didn't the other QB they had, Brissett, go on to be decent also once he left UF?

And wasnt that all in the first half for Driskel?
1st half only --- Yes, the other QB was like 7 for 10 or something like that.

I'll be tuning in from time to time but just thought it brought a little familiarity to tonight's game -- creates a little watching interest at least !!

Driskel would have been fantastic in an Urban Meyer spread offense.  Big arm and can run.  But an offense that requires precision and timing isnt going to fit his skillset.  Sometimes timing and luck plays a big role in who succeeds and who doesnt.

From everything I've heard Driskel is a good person and I think was too often made the scapegoat at Florida.  I cant envision him ever being an NFL QB, but I'm hoping he has a good season at LaTech.  He should have had a better college career.  In hindsight after Meyer left, Driskel should have left as well.  But how could he have known he wouldnt be a good fit under Muschamp.

Driskel stinks... he'll look great playing against a terrible opponent.... i won't be tuning in.

Brissett has played well with NC State and also Tyler Murphy went on to play for Boston College and played very well too. I'm not sure if he's still with the team but he (Murphy) was playing Pittsburgh this preseason.
Where is Brantley?  Laughing

Fishin' down in the Suwannee River with Muschamp.
I watched the game.  Jeff Driskel had a good game statistically, but if you watched he is still just not a smart player.  He stares down his receiver, it's first read or bust.  His accuracy was good at times, but alot of throws he would air mail the ball while throwing on the run.

There was one play where it was a QB draw and he hesitated and tackled himself on a crucial third down.

He is still the same guy he was at UF.

Hilltoppers are bake. Suck it Jeff.

Driskel's brother Jason is currently in at QB for FAU and looks pretty good. They have been hanging with the Canes all night.

I went down to the Owls spring game and I swear I thought I was having flash backs when I kept hearing "Driskel" called out by the announcers!! Everyone around me was so excited about him, as a UF fan I kept saying to myself...don't get too excited people, he's gonna break your heart!! Lol
Driskel sucks and crumbles under pressure. The kid is good at the beginning of seasons, but when he goes to play teams like 'Bama, he just falls apart.
