Heck we had a group of Eagles fans come down to Charlotte with 800 fans. The same group took 2400 to Miami a few years ago. I hate the Eagles but that's impressive.

We always have a good amount of away fans here since everyone comes down here to live or retire.  Most people will root for the Jaguars all year except for that one game their team comes down. 

 

A couple family members do it and I rip them hard every time.  It's obnoxious.

I'm with you....we do too. We are overrun by the "popular" teams' fans in our stadium. In talking about coordinated groups, not just individual fans. That's the difference.

Truthfully we are very similar - we both have teams that are better than the other fan base really knows because neither of our teams gets any coverage, accurate coverage that is, in the national media.


I can't speak for the Jags, but the national narratives of us not having an Oline or a secondary are false. All we see/hear is how bad we are because we were 7-8-1 last year. No national media person takes a second to figure out what happened when it finally clicked and we won 4 in a row plus a playoff game. It's easier for them to say that he beat some other bad teams and then dismiss it. What really happened is the Oline became set, Cam had time for the first time all season and the run game appeared because of it. We benched all the terrible vets (who aren't on the team anymore) on D and started our young guys and they were terrific. We held the Cards to 76 yards. I know, I know....Lindley and all that. But 76 total yards, man...that's nuts.


I don't expect any of you guys to care enough to understand why we think we are good. I also expect you all to respond the way that you have. And truthfully, we can only hope our team plays the way they did at the end of last year. If they do then we will be really tough to beat. But with KB gone and Shula still the OC of course it's going to be a challenge.


Like I've said....I only came here to see what you guys were saying about your team so I could learn more. I didn't accept what the national media told me about the Jags because I know how that works.


I'm leaving Charlotte for JAX tomorrow....looking forward to enjoying a nice weekend and taking in what your city has to offer.

Agree with you on those points. Have a safe trip, i was gonna make the trip to Jax this year for a game, but i can't with my current job :/

He's had only one winning season.

 

Could be taking the Josh Freeman route (he also had only one winning season,) and leading the Panthers to a Tampa Bay franchise trajectory.
