That does make it hard to believe!!!!
THE BIGGEST ISSUE?

It is not passing the football.  Bortles looked pretty good in preseason.

The Jaguars will not be great against defending the pass, but the team can survive that.  Yes, CB might be a first or second round selection in next year's draft.

Odrick and Skuta were picked up in FA to help the Jaguars stop the run.  In the game against Carolina Odrick and Skuta will be tested.  We'll see if they pass the test.

But right now, running the football is what I see as the biggest issue.  The team ran not great, but okay in preseason games 1, 2, and 4.  But the Jaguars did not run well against a good Detroit Lions' DL.  Carolina can stop the run.  We'll see if the Jaguars can run against Carolina.  If the Jaguars do, the Jaguars win.

Special teams did not play well last year.  I think the Jaguars special teams unit will play slightly better this year.

So the BIGGEST ISSUE?  Can the Jaguars run the football well enough to win games?

The biggest issue will be the run blocking. Yeldon isn't tiny like MJD, so the holes will have to be larger or it's going to be a long season.

With the way we barreled over our opponents to get first downs with the run game, I have zero concern about our ability to run the football.

I suppose since pass rush has been so impotent for so long, (last year seemingly an anomaly, but probably could have been sustained without our injuries) we expect a poor pass rush with a "team" effort and no stud pass rushers.

Quote:Our pass rush will be very average this season.

Average is generous. I'd take average in a heartbeat.

I'm not so sure why you feel this way. Was it the one big play to Tate? The Jaguars in my view appear set at CB for a couple more years, and have far greater needs to address with their first few picks.
