It's ok CW, plenty of cheap wins to be had in the AFC South as usual.
Quote:I didn't get to see the colts game, what went wrong for the colts?

Buffalo's defense mostly. Stifling

Yeah, Buffalo's defense was pretty great.

They allowed no yards after the catch and when there was a completion it was almost always contested very, very well. That defense is no joke.

Plus, Luck was having to get the ball out early all game. Plays didn't have time to develop.

No worries, you guys can work out your kinks against our team.
Hilton going out with a knee didn't help either. Behind Hilton, Indi's receiving core is lacking. Hard to blame Luck with some of those dropped passes.

2-2

Got KC and Buf right,

Jags and TB wrong.

My teal goggles are off from now on... and who would have seen the lowly titans doing that.
Quote:Got away from the run game. MANY, MANY mistakes (holding penalties/false starts on great looking drives), muffed punt. Luck was off today, Receivers got absolutely ZERO yards after the catch.

I knew this would be a tough game and I had this game as a potential loss, but I didn't think it'd be this bad. If the Colts lose next week, then I'll be worried. Colts usually look less than stellar on opening weekend (let me remind you guys, we started 0-2 last year).
we have something we are better at then the colts. we started 0-6 last year. beat that colts.  Laughing  Laughing

I got KC and Ten right...

missed on Jaguars and Colts.
2-2.

KC and CAR right.  Really underestimated the Titans and Bills.

Couldn't find a section for introductions, so just figured I'd post this in the AFC South section since that's probably where I will be contributing most.

I'm a Tennessean who graduated from UNF in 2000.  Moved back to Nashville after graduation, but I really enjoyed my time in Jacksonville and try to get back to visit when I can.  It was tough being a Titans fan in Jacksonville especially during the season when Jax lost only 3 games...all to the Titans Smile

This message board seems to be pretty decent so I thought I'd join and try to contribute.  Visiting the homer boards gets a little old, and the Texans and Colts boards didn't look as good as this one IMO.

Here's to another fun season!

One post in and I hate you already!  :teehee: :woot:

Welcome to the boards.
Well that didn't take long Big Grin

Really hoping we can all improve this year.  I'm tired of the AFC South being Indy and then everyone else.

Quote:Ouch I did awful this week. Went 1-3. Funny thing is, those 3 games are the only 3 games I got wrong so far in week 1. Oh well.

I did the same.   :yucky:   1-3  I did say that the Tampa vs. Tennessee game could go either way (so I thought).  It just went one way much further than expected.
I thought all could go either way, but I was less certain about Buffalo Indy than I was any other pick,

I hope you're thick-skinned and/or enjoy abuse.  This board's irrational hatred of all things Titan knows no bounds.

Just so you know....
Point of correction:  On this board, there is no such thing as "irrational hatred of all things Titan."

All tack hatred is completely rational, logical, well founded, and encouraged!

Quote:I think I'll take:

KC over Houston

Tampa over Tennessee

Indy over Buffalo

Jacksonville over Carolina.

1-3. Fugly.
Quote:I'll give a shot...

Kansas City @ Houston - Chiefs.               This really comes down to the offense and the Chiefs seemed to have made improvements.

Tennessee @ Tampa Bay - tacks.              Battle of the NFL cellar if you ask me, but I see the tacks a bit more "together".

Indianapolis @ NY Bills - Bills.                    Outside of Luck, the so called weapons are part of the Geritol crew! The defense isn't worth mentioning for the colts. Call me crazy, but I think the Bills defense wins them this

                                                                   game.

Carolina @ Jacksonville - Jags.                  This is hard to gauge right now, but I'm hopeful the emergence of an offense takes some pressure off the defense and allows them to be disruptive. This is a good match-up

with one teams weaknesses match to the others strengths.

Well 3 out of 4 ain't bad. Only missed on the home team.

Good job, sir.

Bullsheet, Bullseye.

You hate us for one reason - 1999.  We won & you lost.  So we should have rolled over for the Mighty Jags?

That ain't the way the world works.

Have a nice season.
