If they burn their only IR designated to return spot on the Andre Branch I will be sick.
But I don't think we have to worry about that. He will be cut.

I'm not so sure Marshall makes the roster. But its possible over Reynolds.
Only way Capi makes the 53 is if Branch is cut. IDK if Gus is going to do that.
Lotulelei doesn't make it over George. However, an alternative would be Lotulelei over Armbrister. Armbrister to Practice Squad.
Young could make it over Pasztor.

Is it within league rules to start Branch on the PUP? Marks on short term IR? But doesn't that mean both will miss 8 weeks.

You can't be PUP'ed if you played or practiced in training camp / preseason.

Branch cannot be on PUP and isn't a candidate for short term IR. That needs to be reserved for someone that provides more to the team. Branch can either get waived/injured or they can wait the injury out. Either way in terms of effect on the team it really doesn't matter.
