How does the IR spot work? Never had one with that
Quote:How does the IR spot work? Never had one with that
basically you have an extra roster spot for one person that is listed as out and you can move a free agent to their bench spot. However if your injured players designation changes to doubtful or questionable you have take a player off your roster. You can only use the IR spot if you have an injured player ruled out.
This is a keeper league so say you want Jordy Nelson next year to keep you could put JN in the IR spot all year.
since i have JT i'm using the IR spot just to get another player on my roster that should be on waivers.
If you are sneaky like that in my league you can do things like pick the Patriots RB that took Jonas Grays spot, we did our draft a week ago so someone drafted Gray I'm going to try to use Dion Lewis and another player to package for one player on the team of the guy who drafted Gray.
Just finished a NFL Prize League
Feel pretty pleased with how the players fell. Missed on Eifert and Amari. Bradford is clearly my risk/reward player and 3 Jags also risky. Got Julius in the last round, me thinks he's a first 5 rd pick if he was healthy and with Peyton.

In a 10 team? I think you have some work to do.
You need to tell us how many starting. Other than Jeremy Hill, I don't see any elite talent (on paper of course) that I would feel confident in. You should have at least 3. Bradford certainly could have a monster year, but I would feel much better if he was my #2. Lots of risk there. Ingram is fine as an RB2 if your WR's were elite, but your #1 WR is Allen Robinson. I'd be interested to see how the draft fell to you. I like Hyde as a 3rd, probably your best value pick in the draft (I'm guessing). Anyways, we all rate players differently, but in a 10 teamer I would expect you to have at least an elite QB (known commodity), elite WR or maybe a reach on Gronk for TE.
14 teamer with 10th pick snake draft, standard, with starters and bench below. I try to let the draft fall to me and though I have a plan going in, not afraid to deviate if things fall differently than expected. I'll say I'm not big on going QB early, but Luck fell to me at 2.5 and thought he was too safe of a pick to pass up. Though standard, you do get points for return yards (1 point per 10 on punts and 1 point per 25 on kick off). Only reason I took Sproles. And yes, I'm very high on Doug Martin returning to form this year.

Need to know your league rules, # of teams, type of draft (snake/auction/etc...)...

I'm going to sink or swim with Bradford and Jags. Will definitely be searching waivers for WR while crossing fingers Devante or Lockett breakout. As far as RB goes, I got everyone I wanted besides missing on Coleman late.
12 Team 2 Keepers, PPR I was fifth overall. Only player I had worth keeping was Forte, which I had a bad feeling about this year in the new offense. So I traded him and moved up 8 spots in the 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th round.

Nice core with Dez, Julio, Cobb, and Hill. Sneaky Scobee pick. Not a fan of Spiller but the rest looks solid

I am in two leagues

I am replacing Sproles with Lockett off waivers as we speak.
League 2 (12 team PPR league, drafted 4th):
QB - Aaron Rodgers, Colin Kaepernick
RB - Jamaal Charles, Carlos Hyde, Arian Foster, Duke Johnson Jr., Charles Sims
WR - Golden Tate, Sammy Watkins, Martavis Bryant, Phillip Dorsett, Dorial Green-Beckham
TE - Jimmy Graham, Julius Thomas
DEF - KC
K - Sebastian Janikowski
Between Foster, Bryant, Julius, Duke Johnson and Dorsett, I've got a lot of hurt/suspended players but I took a flier on a couple of them and hopefully by week 5 or so, all of them will be available and I should have some depth.

Vino, this team jumps out for me. I'm not sure how many teams are in the league but on paper this team looks very promising. I'm not just saying this because you have Ameer Abdullah and Golden Tate. Other than TE, which is a question mark, the talent you have at the other Offensive Skill positions really jumps out.
12 teams, standard type league, snake draft. I drafted at #12.
QB - Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers
RB - Rashad Jennings, LeShean McCoy, Ronnie Hillman
WR - Odell Beckham, Emmanuel Sanders, Keenan Allen, Allen Robinson, Brandon LaFell*
TE - Heath Miller, Julius Thomas*
DEF - Titans**, Ravens
K - Josh Brown
* - These two players will probably work their way up into the starting rotation once they are cleared to play.
** - This is a week 1 only acquisition. Will be dropped and another player acquired via waivers.
The biggest weakness that I see right now is at RB. Once I drop the Titans DEF after week one, I'll probably take whatever is available via waivers or attempt an upgrade via trades.

Lockett will make plays on special teams, but just don't see him being a big offensive threat this year. Next year? Yeah.
If you got who you wanted at RB than I'm sure you feel great there. We just have differing views on where RB's rank.

Lol. The great teams typically look a lot different by seasons end. Waiver wire is where you win your league.

McCoy was not on my DND list, but he had to fall and be too good to pass up. But McCoy is still very talented and I may underrating him just because of the team he is on. Rashad Jennings is more a RB3. Hillman you will have to wait on and he may never eat too much into Anderson's carries. Of course if Anderson gets hurt that is a different story. I'd consider looking for a trade hoping you get some good play from your bench WR's to a team desperate for WR early on.

Yeah, I'm not real happy with my stable of running backs. I think that Jennings will produce "average" and McCoy should be "alright". After that my choices at the position were the "change-of-pace" type players that will get some yards, but scores are unlikely.
With my last 3 picks I needed a K and a DEF and was looking at the week one schedule, hence that's why I took two DEF. I'm thinking for the season the Ravens should be alright, but I do think that the Titans will give me more points in week 1.
