High School is not the place for a recovering drug addict to be.

Based on what, you're expertise in treating recovering drug addicts?  Dude's been a clean a while and wants to make a difference in other people's lives.  We know everyone on the Jaguars MB is a billionaire saving starving children and kittens all day, but how about a little slack?

And the dude above on thinking he's still in jail....REALLY?  Did you not see the piece on Keenan and Jimmy or hear him on the radio once a month the last two years?  Uhhhhh

Sorry I don't live in Florida and haven't heard anything else on this.  I was just under that assumption but looks like I was wrong.
Quote:Was he really?  I know good behavior you can get out early, but how does a a 6 year sentence get reduced to a month?
It doesn't. He's probably on probation for six years with a bracelet on his ankle.

Thank you Dr Drew
Gee, it's so sweet that Jacksonville is considering "forgiving" Jimmy Smith. What a joke. Why would he ever have to apologize? For being a troubled human being with a deadly addiction? Some of you are so incredibly judgemental it's sickening.

If anything, YOU should THANK HIM for providing endless hours of entertainment (free of charge if you're not a ticket-buying fan) and making your life a little bit happier. I hope none of you experience a deadly addiction among your family or friends. If you do, you might view the Jimmy Smith situation a bit differently. If he's hurt anyone, it's himself and his family. Certainly not you.
I'm in love wid da cocoa, I got it on da low low.

Come on hendershot, you've been around long enough to know the narrative.  Common sense posts such as yours is not in line with the uneducated masses.

My only "stipulation" for putting Jimmy on the Ring of Honor would be that Keenan McCardell should have his name right next to his.
Quote:He was, but they burst in his stomach on the way back from Colombia, and now he's got another 12 months added on to his suspension.

This made me laugh.
All his off the field stuff means nothing to me. He was a football player, and a damn great one.

This should be the consensus, but you know people now-a-days worry about "image."  Dude made his decisions, and he will have to live with it.  Too many people care about feelings, and its really stupid.  He's the best player we've ever had.  He belongs with the recognized best players.  No?

Can't be TMD...it's not a thousand word dissertation on why he should get put in! :woot:

There's a thought. What if they were to induct Thunder and Lightening together?
