Biggest postives thus far for me....

Bortles is making better decisions.

The OL has been looking good.

Julius Thomas looks to be a difference maker, not just a Manning made guy.
So far Joeckel looks like a legitimate starter. He does not look great, but I think he'll middle of the road. Not what we excepted but improvement coming off a difficult year. Hopefully he can build on that he still looks very athletic. Blast away haters.

What would make him look great?  Him throwing the ball then running downfield to help the WR catch the ball?

Well that's a start *sarcasm*
I personally think he needs to work on finishing blocks in the run game, which he is getting better at. In the pass game he has a tendency to get over extended. He is quick and gets the right man on screens or when scraping but has a tendency to lose his feet. All of those things can be cleaned up. I was never worried about the bull rush stuff last year. Anyone who has played the game at a high level knows how important strong legs and core are. When you cant do squats, box or jumps lunges at that level for that long your going to one, lose a lot of weight and two get bull rushed. I am no academic but I've played a lot of ball in the trenches (granted on the defensive side) I wont say what school because we have not been doing well lately and those kind of joke at my alma mater make me angry. What I am saying is that I believe he will be middle of the road this year with the potential to be top tier if he can clean up some things. Which in my opinion is a positive to most people (to stay on topic).

You know positives aren't allowed here.  Careful or we'll have to move or hide a thread if it gets too positive.

The biggest positive I see is we look like a varsity squad and not jv

I agree with you. Watching tape he had a good week last week. That was a bogus hold
You know....2 negatives make a positive. So let me get out my laundry list of complaints Smile

Seriously though, the offense is passing the eye test. Bortles is getting off good passes and running backs (including Gerhart) are getting positive yardage. I attribute this to better O-line play. I have a lot of confidence in our skill position players, if the O-line does their job. So far, looking adequate.

Plus, I've noticed a lot of defenders/D linemen getting a piece of the ball. Nice too see guys making plays and stopping drives of the opposing team.
You guys are a bunch of Gus Bradleys. Sprinkles for everyone!

I'll take some sprinkles, but you can keep the nuts!

I'm not seeing anyone say the OL is fixed, just looking better than they had. There seems to be a glimmer of hope. Detroit should be a decent test of the progress the OL looks to have made.

I did save up to 30% on my car insurance.

Predator please tell me what you think of Joeckel's technique. What areas does he need to improve on what areas has he figured out. What I saw last year was an undersized week left tackle that was trying to drop the bucket prematurely and getting run around. When he played It straight he got bull rushed, from what I could tell he was compensating for his lack of strength. Please tell me how you saw it.

I consider the fact that the Jags have a home game against the Lions this Friday night to be a positive.

And on national TV too...score!
Big Plays. 40-60 yard pass completion confidence-boosting plays.

The offensive line still needs work but I see a dramatic improvement especially on the right side.  Having Linder, Parnell, and Alualu(maybe found something he is good at) knock opponents on their butts is impressive.  Good teams oppose their will on opponents.  Looks like the Jags maybe have a go to running attack on third and short.  I can also see big play action passes coming from the run threat.

Thanks for telling me.  I thought I was going to have to use the net.

I was shocked to learn that I'll be able to watch the game live on TV here in Washington state.
