So I believe Caldwell is going to be looking hard at finding a true indisputable #1 guy for Blake in this next draft. Who is going to be that guy? Tyler Boyd?

Definitely need a "true" #1 receiver imo.

In free agency next year all the guys the Jags would be interested in will either be re-signed or tagged.

In next years draft they will be some good receivers but if memory serves they are all very small.

Boyd for example is only currently listed at 185
Maybe Mike Williams from clemson? 6'3 200 pounds. I mean I still think Boyd will be the number 1 WR next years draft but he is pretty lite.

They could have had Cooper. I think they think(this year) they are in good shape.

Assuming he returns to full strength it'd have to be Laquon Treadwell,, he reminds me of Dez Bryant.
Laquon Treadwell perhaps

It's only fitting to draft Travin Duval out of LSU
I'd like to be a homer and say D'haquille Williams, but I don't know if he will time fast enough for NFL teams to consider him a #1. However, I do believe he is a better version of Allen Robinson and should be a good NFL receiver.

Josh Doctson from TCU is a stud as well, big and fast, he has a chance to be a top 15 pick if he has a good senior season.

Wish we had grabbed Cooper but Treadwell would be nice

We should have got Cooper with the # 1. Best DE available in round 2.

Hindsight is 20/20

Treadwell by name, tread VERY well by reputation.
Yeah, I probably would have went with Cooper or White this year over Fowler.

I don't see a true #1 receiver in next year's class.  There are some good players like Treadwell, Boyd, and Williams, but I don't see the potential in any of them to be that elite top 10 receiver like we need.  They all have Allen Robinson type potential, but I don't see the next AJ, Julio, Dez etc here.  All three have glaring flaws in their game and all three have off the field concerns.  Treadwell is so undisciplined, unpolished and doesn't fight through contact for a catch very well.  Boyd, while shifty, is very slow to build to speed and lacks the speed to get over the top.  Williams looks more like a small move tight end than a receiver and lacks the gamebreaker speed to be that top 10 franchise receiver.

This is by far.the worst assessment of Treadwell ive ever read. You literally have everything completely opposite. Treadwell only has one flaw, lack of 4.4 speed on tape. Treadwell is by far the best receiver of this Draft and I'd go as far to say he is on par with Cooper tyis year, just a little bigger
Treadwell's nowhere near Amari as a route-runner.

We have to get someone with some speed

Next year is not the year to draft a receiver in the first round.

Hello Mrs. Treadwell, how is your son's leg recovering?

Treadwell has good enough hands and is a great run after catch threat because he is strong and elusive. He plays faster than he will probably time, which is the opposite of Boyd who plays slower than he will time. He gives great effort on one play, even plays where he is blocking or ones that are designed away from him, but then lacks effort on other plays. He also needs work with a good NFL receivers coach because he coasts by with size and athleticism over fundamentals and precise route running.

He plays a bit like Blackmon in college except fighting through contact and making the catch is a weakness whereas it wasn't for Blackmon.

Mid to late 1st based on talent, maybe a lot worse with character and injury concerns factored in. Will probably be completely off several teams' boards.

I am honestly curious where you are getting your assessment from? I can argue with you about how he does fight for the ball, but I'm more curious what you mean by his character is a concern.

I retract the character statement. I thought that I remembered hearing or reading something about him, but I couldn't find anything when I googled it. I probably just mixed him up with someone else.

The rest, I stand by. He is a poor man's Blackmon. If he could have come out this past year, he probably goes somewhere around Agholor.

Great blocker, physical, elusive, hands catcher. Struggles catching with contact, limited route running skills and experience, doesn't have the speed to be a consistent vertical threat.

He isn't a top 10 NFL receiver and doesn't offer anything to the roster that we don't already have. Good player, but he's a low end 1 or good 2.
