Agreed. Blakes job is to put the ball beyond the safety inside the corner. He did that dropped it in the bucket. That has to be caught. Allens drop was really uncharecteristic. I think blake looks good and this week he was even quicker making decisions. Anyone saying he panicked is crazy.

Chris smith flashed. Thats two weeks in a row.

Davon house with the help of one drp blanked a top tier reciever. When beckham shoved the safety out of frustration you knew it was a good day for the secondary.

First team d missing people was pretty good.

Backs ran well and caught it well. Denard looks like a running back.

Joeckel played well. There eere 2 or three empty sets where blake had extra time in the pocket to go through a full progression. You didnt see that last season.

Second team o was terrible.

Nassib can stroke it.

I dont think there will be any trade offers for henne after all.
Henne was garbage last night
Good - The team has shown some improvement.

Bad - Message board posters have not.

Ugly - Armchair "coaches, quarterbacks, linemen, etc." being critical regarding a "practice" which is what the preseason games are.

Thanks for just admitting that about yourself!!!

Just some people are so naive, they think we can't comprehend the disaster we've seen for the last 7 years.

Some people can't see what has gone wrong.

Good: It's only preseason

Bad: It's only preseason

Ugly: see above
Chris Smith deserves to be in that conversation for regular playtime during the regular season. Didn't get to catch the Jags much last year but the few times I saw of him he was getting a good jump off of the snap.

The Good: FS Sergio Brown
; On one play Odell burnt McCray & Brown saved it on another House had him locked up until he got a burst of speed but Brown running in for the hit helped him drop the pass. He got into Odell's head enough that he punched Brown and lost his cool.   It was the first time in several years I actually saw good play from the Free Safety position.  I hope its a sign of more good things to come from Brown.   Of course Bortles did well with others, but I thought it was worth noting Brown's play.

The Bad: Chad Henne
as good as he can look on paper statisitically at times I never feel good as a fan watching him come into a game.  I was kind of hoping they wouldnt resign him but they did.

and

The Ugly:
Eli Manning
wanting a new deal and he goes against the Jacksonville Jaguars and throws 4 for 14 for 46 yards.   Hehe I guess I have to pick a Jaguar....

CB Nick Marshall I know he's a rookie who went from QB to CB but he missed on a few plays one of which was the TD.  I guess the lack of Jaguars Pass Rush
was the ugliest part.

The Jaguars rushing game was bad too especially Storm Johnson

Wasn't sure exactly where to put this so I'll put it here as for the offensive line it was "good" but for Clay Harbor it was "ugly."

Just watch the surge by the line and Marcedes. When was the last time this team has seen something like that. Of course Harbor blew it but still just taking into account the offensive line and Marcedes, it is pretty dang impressive.

Indeed Harbor got beat inside but I liked how he stuck with it and made an additional block on another player. I'm not worried about Clay as he typically handles his guy. His issue both in blocking and catching seems to be with consistency more than anything else.

Sergio Brown has a "firm lock" on the Jaguars' starting free safety job.

As expected. Brown was never facing much competition from Josh Evans and Matt Daniels, but coach Gus Bradley praised Brown after the Jaguars' second preseason game. After playing 531 snaps for Indianapolis last season, Brown will be an every-down player for the Jaguars next to SS Johnathan Cyprien. Brown will focus on covering the back end, allowing Cyprien to play close to the line.

One thing I like about HC Gus Bradley if a player proves he's good on the field he gets to start even if he is undrafted such as Hurns (and hopefully Grant), of course Brown was expected to start so...

Oh, are you one of those keep it real, smarter than the rest of the fans kind of guys. We're too busy being drunk on teal kool aid to notice the team has sucked for most of the last decade. I mean without you and your supreme non-naivety, how would we know the team has been awful? What would we do without you????

Is anyone else having trouble reading this quote, I keep having to wipe the sarcasm off my screen, lol

We've been bad?

I thought the Jaguars-Giants game last year was the Super Bowl. We've been had.

I think Brown starts the season, but I can still see Sample taking over at some point.

It depends on your definition of bad.
