Interesting read that really brings you back to the Justin Blackmon situation. Just because he's not on the team or in the NFL, doesn't mean he's going to go away, and teams like the Jaguars, I guess, recognize that and keep him along so he can feel like he has this support if he so chooses to utilize it.

With Fowler's injury and the doubt starting to surround Clemons why not sign him to a prove it type of contract which includes AA meetings, and random testings?
I mean if he can be another great pass rusher it could help out the time immensly this year.

Now I'm not advocating that, I'm just saying it's interesting how often people forget these players are also people.
People that do really, really dumb stuff, but still people. I wouldn't want Aldon Smith on this team.

None of that matters if this recent incident proves true. He could be facing an indefinite suspension and potentially jail time. TBH I'm not totally confident he'll be able to stay out of trouble for a year, unsupervised and unprotected by his team/employer. I'm not sure about you but I've had enough of these types of players on the roster. Blackmon essentially was the straw that "broke the camel's back" for me. You can be all-world but if you can't make good decisions off the field then you add no value to the team whatsoever. We're better off hoping some random street free agent pans out over some rich entitled football player who thinks he's above the law and puts innocent people lives at risk because he refuses to call a cab or hire a driver after 2 DUI convictions and now facing a 3rd.
...I mean how slaughtered do you have to be to hit a parked car then do more damage to the parked car you just hit while getting out of your car?
