I'm really pulling for this kid. Hoping he gets some legitimate playing time this season. I think he'll do well and be a decent QB (as decent as you can get after Peyton Manning). Anyone else share this sentiment?

Nope, I want to see as much as Peyton as I can before he retires.

Saw a lot of him watching ASU games. He's the anti-Peyton in a few ways, one of which is his mobility. Where Peyton would stand firm and get rid of the ball ASAP, Osweiler will move around and buy himself an extra second or two. He threw a beautiful deep ball in college, probably throws an even better one now. I honestly think he's a better fit for a Kubiak offense than Manning is, and assuming Kubiak is still the Broncos' coach in 2016 (very likely, but not a sure thing, imo), he could have the chance to walk into a golden opportunity with an offense almost perfectly suited for him.

 

Of course, if history is any indication, Kubiak will draft his own "guy" in the first or second round and let Osweiler walk into a career backup role.

The Brockster goes to the Texans.  I think it's a huge gamble.  Here's a guy who had a few decent games but got benched for the noodle-armed Grandpa Manning when it counted.

Schaub was better.  I just don't see it in Brock-weiler.

But tinhorns at least have a QB now. That means every AFCS team is set at QB for the next 2-4 years (I say 2 because Eminem and Luck might not last much longer)

Agreed!  Honestly I had thought to myself that they had him come (Benched Peyton) when they knew they were going to make the playoffs most likely & allowed Peyton to heal & prevent injury so that they didnt have happen last time with the playoffs / SB...

Brock Osweiler isn't a bad QB, but I am shocked he got paid that much... he isn't that good..

This has nothing to do with anything, but this guys is HUGE. He's 6'7". Sweep the leg!
