I mainly want to post this because of what the say about the Jags and Boselli, and its true!
Jacksonville Jaguars: Tony Boselli, left tackle
Of all the names listed for each franchise, Boselli's was frankly the easiest to type. He should already be enshrined, irrespective of his rather short (seven seasons) career. Boselli was a technician at his position, a skilled artisan who was tough as nine acres of Texas onions (phrase borrowed from Doug English) while being a gifted athlete.
Hall of Fame tackle Walter Jones told me last year, with no hesitation, "When I first got in the league, you had Tony Boselli. I think that was the guy that I said, 'Man, that's the way I want to play left tackle ... when I was coming through (the NFL), that was the guy." Jones, like so many other players and fans, marveled over how Boselli dominated
Bills defensive end Bruce Smith in the 1996 playoffs. I remember that game, too: Hall of Should Be In vs.
Hall of Fame. Put him in.
I'm going to say, if Terrell Davis is admitted into the Hall, Tony Boselli should be.
Tony Boselli has not only been the spearhead in keeping the Jaguars in Jacksonville, but he's arguably one of the greatest LTs to ever play the game.
I remember the game when Tony was in his prime and Jason Taylor (Dolphins) was pretty much a mega superstar DE. The narrative of that game was Tony vs. Jason. Tony down right embarrassed Jason the whole game. They were jawing at each other the whole time. If you didn't see this one, it was pretty spectacular to witness.

Davis was red hot during multiple super bowl runs. Boselli doesn't have that on his resume. If he continues his off the field work for football, I think he gets in eventually.
I think Boselli will get in eventually. But as a veteran committee selection. He's only 12 years away from being eligible for that committee.
Right now, the key to him getting in is publicity/pressure.
The Jaguars are in such a small market and the Jaguars have such a small national profile, Boselli, while deserving, will have a low profile with Hall of Fame voters. If I am not mistaken, Kouvaris is a Hall of Fame voter, and he doesn't even think Boselli should get in.

Terrell Davis's effective career was even shorter than Boselli's, though.
Terrell Davis was spectacular in those 4 seasons he was healthy, but it was still only 4 seasons.

I think Tony Boselli belongs in the HOF.
Having said that, it's a difficult path via the veteran committee selection route. Only two players are currently nominated by the committee per year. Even when they are nominated, it's far from a sure thing they will be selected by the overall HOF committee. The late Dick Stanfel was voted down in two separate years by the overall committee, after being selected by the Veteran Committee both times. From my point of view, it makes no sense for the overall committee not to listen to the recommendation of the Veteran's Committee. But the reality is they sometimes reject the Veteran's Committee recommendation.
TD is right there on the fence just because of the fact that he was able to get the Broncos over that Super Bowl hump. Had they not won those Super Bowls, he would go down in a long list of RBs who had short lived periods of success: Priest Holmes, Stephen Davis, Terry Allen, Neal Anderson, Deuce McAllister, Chris Warren, etc.
Maurice Jones Drew?

I would say that he probably belongs in that group as well, but he was a big contributor early in his career in the receiving and return game despite not reaching 1000 yards for a few years. Obviously he was splitting carries with Fred, but I want to give MJD more credit because...of, well... the obvious.
