I've loved Arian Foster in the past and am always glad that I can get him in a fantasy draft. Sure he will kill you a few weeks (or more) because of injuries, but when he plays he is money.
He's a fun player to watch too...his running style (which probably is why he gets hurt) is pretty intimidating.

I dunno he'll even be back by week 9. Reports are that he tore the groin off the bone al la Fred Taylor. It's a 3-6 month recovery estimate.
If he is out for the season, the Texans offense is going to struggle.
They have a good offensive line-perhaps the best in the division, so they have that going for them.
But with no credible QB, and no credible RB, they are going to struggle to score.
Without him, it's Hopkins and nothing.

The doctor on 92.5 said at minimum 3 months.
I don't see the doom and gloom the rest of you do.
I don't think the offense will be that good without him, but I still think it can be functionable.
Blue and Polk can hold their own with that line.

I think most disagree. That offense was reliant on Foster...now they don't have a legit qb or rb.

Blue had his moments last year, but they were few and far between. He only averaged 3.1 ypc. That won't scare anyone, especially if teams don't respect their passing game due to bad QBing and no Andre Johnson.
Polk didn't do much last year with a pretty good O-Line in front of him.
I don't think they will be 2011 Jaguars bad, but I think they will struggle some, offensively.

I somewhat agree but if we're talking in the context of our division, will their offense be substantially worse than ours or Tenn's?
Some sound like they expect Hou to be competing for the #1 pick and I just think that's premature. They won't be a patty cake opponent.

Just offensively deficient.
As long as their OL is intact, they should have some success. But they will be easier to defend.

If Bortles develops the way we hope (and implicit in this is improvement in the WR, OL and running game to support him), then yes.

BTW, I agree with you on the hope for our offense but that's certainly a huge IF.

Then we aren't that far apart then.
Even assuming I think their offense will be bad, their defense will certainly make it far from a gimme. Besides, our defense still has its issues, and it is entirely possible Houston could have good games against us, just like our defense had a good game against Indy last year.
