Quote:Why?
Sen'Derick Marks should potentially be cut as well.

It was horrible.

-signed TC

Quote:Because much like Roy Miller. He's only managed to start in three games over the last two years due to injuries and he's looking at turning 30 this year. Should see this team continue the trend of getting younger on defense this off-season.
If they draft Allen out of Alabama he's probably out of the picture. You can never have too many defensive lineman but he's a waste of a roster spot if he can't get out on the field.
Quote:I see your point and it makes sense, but you apparently weren't paying much attention to Marks in 2016.
They used Marks to spell Jackson at 3 Tech sometimes and put him next to Jackson on 3rd down at times to rush from the usual NT spot.
Marks played on 49.9% of the defensive snaps in 2016 as a result and made an impact. He also played on 79 ST snaps. Health was not a major issue for Marks in 2016. The "starts" stat is misleading in this instance.
edit: (drafting Allen may indeed prove your theory correct)
Quote:Fair enough. I'd love to see him return to his 2014 form. He was fun to watch that season. That would be amazing. He was a force before the injuries. If he gets near that level of play again he and Jackson would make a formidable rotation/tandem at DT.
