Tough in the pocket with the ability to make big-time NFL throws deep down the field. He has great size for the position and a very good arm that can drive the football. This play really stood out to me as I reviewed Bortles. It was play-action out of based personnel. With the corner’s body turned to the inside, Bortles knew he had his tight end on the crosser. He also knew he would take a shot as he delivered the football. That kind of throw is what separates NFL quarterbacks. Bortles led the biggest comeback in Jaguars history against the Giants. Bortles will be higher than No. 23 on my big board next season.

There's another ranking at nfl.com where backup QBs are ranked, and these same two qbs are on the list. Hello... they're not backups.

If Bortles moves up Jaws' ranking, I think we'll all have a happy season. Heck, If hes unanimously in the top 15 QBs in the NFL ill be as happy as a clown.

Jaws said Kapernick would be the greatest of all time.

Good stuff. If he can lead a competent comservative offense he'll be higher than 20 by seasons end.

I respect the analysis of Ron Jaworski.  He is a better analyst than he was a quarterback.

He isnt even the best on his own team :/

I can't remember when the last time an NFL guy said something really positive about a Jaguar QB after his rookie season.

I'd rather listen to Jaworski than Gruden any day, btw.

Jaws is the best of a bad situation. He's probably the most informative and unbiased out of the whole viper's pit of hack journalists and analysts.
