He has a real good attitude, really wants to make this team.Could be a real good rotational guy along that D-line
I had the chance to talk with him a few weeks ago at the Jaguars kid day. Bennett came across as very mature for a rookie. It seems like he is already a good interview for the local media.
Quite honestly, I was stunned that he fell so far in the draft. Hopefully we got a steal.
It's like dejavu all over again.
It is not just about Michael Bennett but across the board, this coaching staff seems to have positive influence on their draft picks and it resonates to the veterans as well. If these players got true talents then the Jags future is very bright.
Based on the article, it sounds he is best for a rotational role. I wonder if the 'turn in on/turn it off' was a major reason for the draft fall...

Agreed that he sounds like a good fit for a rotational role, and on that line, there was never any doubt that this would be his lot. I like hearing any player who is able to critique themselves honestly, and focus on fixing those areas where he feels he's lacking. It beats having someone who refuses to admit his issues. We've had guys like that here in the past, and oddly enough, they never really improve. Go figure.
